Passing through the Swansea Draw Bridge - Lake Macquarie NSW

This short clip shows a 30' yacht passing through the draw bridge at Swansea, entrance to Lake Macquaire on the central NSW coast. The largest coastal saltwater lake in Australia, Lake Macquarie is an aquatic playground, a popular spot with cruising yachties heading up or down the NSW coast. It has over 300 klms of coastline with many townships nestled on it shores. The current that runs through the bridge is very strong and can run up to 6 knots depending on the tides.
