A brilliant example of what constitutes a classic performed by its composer in the most unlikely of arrangements. What a legacy you have bestowed Jack Bruce. I remain in awe.
Hard to believe you were gone just two years after this video was taken. I just love everything you played and who you played with and we're all going to miss you forever Jack. Keep those Wheels Of Fire brother and shifting those Disraeli Gears and we'll all see you one day in that White Room
I was blessed to see Jack in Spectrum Road with Vernon Reid, at Yoshi's Jazz Club two nights in a row, two sets each night! The first night I had dinner in the restaurant so they gave me advanced seating- in the first row dead center! It was like they/he was playing for me. Unbelievable experience- thank you, thank you. Then Carlos Santana would come out at the end of their set! Cindy Blackman Santana on drums was playing. There was Carlos in the audience, then he would get up and leave to go on stage. Unreal experience, both of them playing together- once in a lifetime. Except, no- I came back the next night 🌙 take 3/4! Love you Jack. 🎉 🕉
In-fecking-credible. The guy's voice at that age is holding out really well and he's clearly having a blast. Just shows, not every classic needs a guitar solo! And Lau were superb as well. Big fan of them.
Interesting how the big bass drum (bodrun?) and the rhythm guitar create the effect of a whole drum set. Love the violin and accordion filling in the richness. And Bruce is great on the bass, and his singing always was great too. Thanks for the vid
Absolutely Incredible , Thank you to everyone involved. He definitely was the Cream of the Crop . Such a talented Master of everything he touched. ❤❤❤❤❤
Apparently Jack was up all night with Pete Brown his friend and lyric writer. When jack said what about this, and played this bass line, at the same time Pete looked out the Window and said , Its getting near Dawn ! The rest is history .👍😎
That trio Lau weren't shabby at all ! The four of them created a new angle on that old song , the first song that I , and probably many others learned on the bass.
Splendid version . Fretless bass & unlikely instruments for this Cream’s classic. It opens the horizon . Thanks for the post and cheers from Deep South of France, 🖐😀🦊 Folk Rock Band
Wow 🤩 his voice is still so powerful 😊 seems to me even kind of more advanced. Such a historical musician. I was once in a live Concert from West Bruce and Laing in Kaiserslautern 👌👌👌 never forget this in my life. Later on i had a very personal encounter with Leslie West and Corky Laing. Both wonderful people ❤
First meet was in the 70s (Sanda), late night @ Dunaverty, great crack and a few drams. Last was the final gig at the Albert Hall, thanks for all the music Jack, none other
Da da da dum da da dum da da dum. Totally one of the most iconic riffs of the century. It's like Smoke on the Water, but way better :-) Hat's off to Jack!

That Is True, Dag
Legend has it that Jack once played alongside a metronome....the metronome was constantly trying to keep up with his perfect timing..
Word on the street was the metronome gave up in shame
Scotland’s greatest ever musician and songwriter without a doubt.
Imagine the opportunity to harmonize with Jack on this iconic song.
Because of him i learned to play bass great musician
He had the same effect on me, and to this day I still play with an obvious influence of his style. May his magical fingers rest in peace.
Crossroads....the finest bass playing ever.
Put me on the list too.
I even got an Gibson EB bass like his.
Yeah, he was one of them and Geezer Butler
Me to!!!
WOW WOW WOW
I was born in 1966. By the time I was 7, Cream was one of my favorite things. I was obsessed with them.
I love the story Jack tells of how that riff & the opening lyrics originally came about. The guy is a total legend!
This was 6minutes and 7seconds of Pure Bliss! What a Version!
Just incredible. What a great combination of musicians. Jack was one of the best ever! 👏

Jack lives forever through his music.
They don’t make em like that anymore. What an amazing talent.
So wonderful to see Jack getting all those young musicians going.
Forget you know what, THIS riff is immortal.
In-fecking-credible. The guy's voice at that age is holding out really well and he's clearly having a blast. Just shows, not every classic needs a guitar solo! And Lau were superb as well. Big fan of them.
Absolutely agree!

Class lives on forever! I remember the first time I saw a Cream concert - it was at the cinema! Must have been around 1970…….
That trio Lau weren't shabby at all ! The four of them created a new angle on that old song , the first song that I , and probably many others learned on the bass.
That was really nicely done! I danced to the original back in the day & this is an extremely nice rendition!
This us really great. Beautiful instrumentation. Freaking awesome. Thank you

Awesome!
I can hear Ginger Bakers drums in my head as this is being played.
Thank you for posting!✌️🎸🎸🎶🎼🎵
Ginger Baker's playing on Sunshine is almost tribal, to me. Then in steps Eric to nail it down!
Oo, that sounds like an interesting documentary! (Fun to see the musicians on traditional instruments rocking out! 🙂
A great performance by all.
Great memories! A wonderful time for Rock and Roll!
I did not know Jack had a youtube channel. I have liked and subscribed. Brilliant performance.
Thank you for this gem.
His son Malcolm has kept his music alive. Surprising similarity of voice.
Very talented guy.
Accordion dude is just so happy to be there 😂
I'd glady would have learned to play accordian so I could have been up there
