Props to you. you only spoke english and you managed to learn the 2 most difficult languages in the earth. chinese and russian! subscribed! big respect.
Chinese mandarin isn't as difficult as it seems, actually is a "logical" language so grammar is very simple, you just gotta memorize all the characters. Russian is more complicated (even for me, I'm russian) but the thing is that it has so many grammar rules... But also, Russian is a Slavic language, once you master it, other Slavic languages will get really easier for you to understand and learn.

Angie Ordóñez that’s awesome!! Korean and Japanese are really similar in grammar structure so if you learn one you can easily transition into the other! Since you know Chinese, learning Japanese first might be a little easier because Japanese uses Kanji (Chinese Characters) - although some characters’ meanings are different some are similar or same. For example Shugorei 守護霊 guardian means protector in Chinese! Just to give you a starter in both languages- Korean has one alphabet, Japanese has 3 (Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji- Hiragana for Japanese characters, Katakana for Foreign characters for example アメリカ amerika (america)), and Kanji is Chinese characters). Arguably Japanese is a more difficult language but since you are familiar with Chinese it may be easier for you. Good luck!

I tried learning French in school but I had a teacher I disliked and that ruined it for me. I'm going to drop it after this year and learn Japanese on my own.
I understand that when the teacher is mean it ruins the whole experience of learning a new language but you mustn’t give up I u really like French then try and focuse on the stuff you like in the language and if you actually continue learning the language then be prepared for the hardest grammar classes you will ever have to learn
Is because of the complex grammar it has. I'm a native speaker and Spanish has a lot of different forms to describe the same thing in different times. Pretty hard to learn if you aren't a native or if you don't own a romantic language (French, Italian or Portuguese).
@Robbi Robson Yeah, that's because you never had a spanish class before, you don't know what a gramatic analysis is (in spanish, obviously), and knowing some words isn't knowing a language...
Besides having a social advantage in your daily life and in business. Dreaming in different languages must be something amazing worth all that knowledge.

My friends are always amazed when they see me and my siblings argue, because we grew up bilingual and we argue in languages we don't even speak, we learn phrases and then use them intermixed with our fluent languages. We switch mid sentence, or we answer in a different language. It really is a lot of fun to carry on a conversation where everyone is constantly changing what language they are responding with.

I’m a native Spanish speaker. I learned English and Chinese. I’m currently studying Dutch and I would like to learn Korean and Japanese.
Good luck!
