during the G7 summit, from 26th June to 28th June, the Air Force One VC-25A 82-8000 / 28000 was an absolute aviation highlight for plane spotters at Munich Airport. In addition to Air Force One and Marine One, the President was accompanied by other helicopters.
MARINE ONE
Marine One is the call sign of any US Marine Corps aircraft with the US president on board. It normaly denotes a helicopter operated by Marine Helicopter Squadron One (HMX-1) “Nighthawks”, consisting of either the large Sikorsky VH-3D Sea King or the newer, smaller VH-60N “White Hawk”. Both helicopters are called “White Tops” because of their livery. Any Marine Corps aircraft carrying the vice president without the president has the call sign Marine Two.

AIR FORCE ONE (vs. AIR FORCE TWO)
“Air Force One” is used to designate any Air Force aircraft carrying the US president, but it is now standard practice to use the term to refer to specific planes that are equipped to transport the Commander-in-Chief.
Planes carrying the vice president are designated as. When VC-25A or the currently under development VC-25B are in the air but not carrying the president, air traffic controllers may refer to them by their tail numbers, Special Air Missions (SAM) 28000 and 29000, or by a call sign of their choosing.

AIR FORCE TWO
Air Force Two is the air traffic control designated call sign held by any United States Air Force aircraft carrying the U.S. vice president, but not the president. The term is often associated with the Boeing C-32, a modified 757 which is most commonly used as the vice president’s transport.
Entering service in 1998, the C-32 Air Force Two is a modified version of the commercially available Boeing 757-200 commercial passenger plane. It is used to transport the Vice President, First Lady, their families, and other national political executives.

When you think about all the vehicles and aircraft involved in a trip to Germany by the US President, it's absolutely bonkers how much money is spent on it.
Well, he has an economy bigger than the entire EU and 20x times the size of the UK, that allows his government to sustain such expenditures.👍👍👍
@@frank-ko6de And yet the number of people involved in the top level of the US President's detail are not that dissimilar from other nations. I just don't understand why so much expenditure can be justified, even with such a large economy. It's not sensible in any case.
@@joyl7842 The U.S. is practically the only country involved with multi global affairs at the same. This makes the head of state target for assisinations that's been going on since the mid 19th century. He's also at the head of an economy hence immense influence with global business leaders and nations. The U.S. is very dissimilar, it's extremely unique in which no other global leader can compare to the U.S. head of state. Whether you like it or not is your issue and problem.

Thought he is using the Sony RX10IV. I use the same camera, to my opinion the best camera for big planes like the guys on this channel are capturing. For fighters I personally prefer longer lenses 😎👍

By the way, the serial number for that White Hawk is 163263, not 16-3263, because it's a Marine Corps aircraft, which means that the cradle to grave responsibilities are administered by Naval Air Systems Command, and the serial numbers are issued by the Bureau of Aeronautics, whose aircraft serial number system is known as the Buo Number. USAF, and US Army aircraft have a serial number using the lst two digits of the Fiscal Year as the first two numbers in the entire serial number given to the aircraft. You might want to go look it up, just to see the differences yourself.
