Example of Truss Analysis with the Method of Joints

This video tutorial shows an example of truss analysis using the method of joints.
Trusses, commonly found in bridges and roofs, are rigid structures designed for axial load bearing. Torques or lateral forces are not allowed.
For the example of a model truss bridge, I demonstrate the process of calculating the support forces, drawing free-body diagrams for the entire structure and each joint, and how to analyze the forces at each joint to determine whether members are under tension or compression.
