    These folks are a great addition to the community, and their experience dovetails with so many others here. Their belief that we are all guests of this beautiful country is shared by most expats throughout Panama.

    Hi Jackie. We miss the videos. haven't gotten one in weeks. I have a proposition: I propose your team highlight an area of Panama every month. doesn't need to feature someone, just the town. -- a quick 15-20 minutes video of a town and its people would be great

      Thanks for the tip. We have a town video coming up soon. We already did all the video shoots and drone shots. I just need to add voiceover

    Thank you Jackie. I have also researched moving to Portugal and one drawback is the lack of title companies. Sad funny stories of people buying a place only to find out they bought only 1/3 house. Ouch

    • @PanamaRelocationTours
      @PanamaRelocationTours  2 года назад

      If you buy titled property, your attorney can do a title search to ensure that you are buying the entire house and land. Avoid buying ROP properties in Panama or you can run into problems.

    This was a great interview. Thanks to all three of you. I'm starting to really like the Boca Chica and Las Lajas area. I have a question: If I were to purchase a vacant lot in that area, would I be allowed to build two dwellings on the lot? Or... if I bought a property that currently has a single residence dwelling on it, would I be allowed to build a second dwelling in the future if I chose to do so? My ideal scenario is to have one dwelling to live in, and then rent out the second dwelling, either as a vacation rental or long-term. Thanks.

      Eric it all depends on where you move and POA rules if there is one

    • @PanamaRelocationTours
      @PanamaRelocationTours  2 года назад

      It depends on where you move to and how big the lot is. Some gated communities would not allow you to build another house/casita. But some neighborhoods would not have those restrictions. We offer private tours of the Las Lajas and Boca Chica area. panamarelocationtours.com/private-tours

      @PanamaRelocationTours  2 года назад +2

      Ballpark from Florida is $25,000. Sometimes you can find a couple to share the flight to reduce the cost.

    It’s comical that they wanted to live in Panama, but not live in a community with US expats, yet they live behind a gated community with a guard and a beach inaccessible by Panamanians. 🙄

    • @PanamaRelocationTours
      @PanamaRelocationTours  Год назад

      In the community where they live, there are MORE Panamanians than expats! There is no guard at the gate -in fact there is NO GATE! Anyone can use the beach.

    While I don't want to frighten anybody, I think your guest is giving an overly rosy picture. I'm thrilled that he feels safe, but it is worth noting that the murder rate in Panama is roughly twice that of his native Florida, and nearly double that of the US. Regardless of where you are, be aware. Utopia doesn't exist.

    • @PanamaRelocationTours
      @PanamaRelocationTours  2 года назад +7

      Note 85% of murders happen in Colon. There has never been a murder where the Martin's live and crime there is almost nonexistant. You cannot judge all of Panama by what happens in one town. We only recommend safe places to live in Panama.
