Hi Guys, thank you so much for your great video. We are born in Germany but for the last 45 years we lived a bit around the world on different continents and ended up here in Australia for the past 25 years, far tooooo long. So, now it"s time to have a change and we are coming in two months to explore Panama although we are no longer the youngest fellows on earth but perfectly healthy, bilingual and keen to enter a new culture for our last nest to settle down. Muchas gracias.....

There is no requirement to GO if you have a pensionado visa. We've lived here 2 years and have never left. We love Volcan, Panama, where we live. We feel more secure here than in the U.S. We don't have a car and use a taxi. If you need surgery like I did without insurance you have to go to the community hospital. It's not like an American hospital, but you will get your treatment for very little money. The better hospital is too expensive to go to without insurance. We have regular trash pick up at our rental home, sadly our neighbors burn things fairly often.

What part of Panama are you going to ?
There are let’s of Airbnb’s to chose from. The one we had in Playa Coronado wasn’t the best … kinda hit and miss when chowing one as reviews aren’t always accurate.
A building we were impressed with in Playa Coronado was Coronado Bay. We didn’t stay there but took a tour of the building and wished we did stay there.
Panama City has lots to chose from. Just make sure what district you stay in. … Sorry I can’t remember the name of the area to avoid
We did love Panama !! and want to go back
Sounds like you’re on a great path. Only been to Spain once and it was only for a week. Need to go back one day.

The best thing that we do is, we plan a vacation to a place to see it in person, as the time goes by during the vacation we talk about the possibilities of being a “snowbird” in these places. That leads us to the thoughts of living in different places.
Cost is definitely a big factor.
Mexico is becoming very expensive, which really surprises us. But Panama is beautiful and very reasonable for prices
I piece of advice we give people when they ask is, you both have to be on the same page to have it work.
Goes for travelling full time, snowbirding and or retiring somewhere else
      Cheers !!
