I remember reading an interview with The Edge about the 20th Anniversary edition of Achtung Baby and he mentioned this version of WGRYWH and how he was totally blown away when he rediscovered it. He was questioning whether it is better than the album version. I can't really say, I do love the album version but this one really is incredible. It must have been crazy just stumbling across a "demo" that is this perfect.

I found this searching for the Temple Bar-Remix version (definitely inferior IMHO to the album version)...this cut is really cool. Thanks for posting. U2 was such a great band that even their demo-type stuff killed.

I love the 2:42 / 4:27 sequence. They could have found use for that wailing high note by Bono, it sounds fab. Also Bono sounds more powerful on the 2:35 ”come on now love doncha look back” -bit, as well. Compared to the AB version, that is. To me it sounds like Bono started losing a bit of his voice as the sessions proceeded.
Is it really for kids or babies? My boys always loved u2, rem, chili peppers, anything I listened to, Peart Jam, Smashing pumpkins, Hole, They loved it all.

It's from the "Achtung Baby 20th Anniversary Edition", a version of the full album was made abailable as a "Baby" Mix. It was part of a Special Edition 6 CD + 4 DVD Box Set called "Super Deluxe Edition" -There's a bigger one caled Über Deluxe Edition priced at +$500 (USD)-
I believe it was originally released with the achtung baby 20th anniversary box set, on a bonus CD called “kindergarten” with early versions of all the songs from the album. Don’t know if you can buy Kindergarten separately, worth a look tho. Hope that helps

Glad Edge went the direction of industrial experimentation on the final version of this track - getting rid of those "edge style" traditional "chimming" notes found on this version

Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. This version is much better than the final version. Plus, on the ZooTV tour edge used a similar “chimey” riff for his solo during the middle of the song so not sure why they changed it so much for the album?
