Hi Rajat, i did exactly as advised in the video, but when i copied the ftp data on my laptop and clicked enter a new window is asking me to choose pick an application, it does not go directly to the screen showing which apps are installed on my firestick

No. Do it from computer, put the firestick in that you want to copy, copy the apps, remove that firestick, insert the other, and paste it what you've copied from the other firestick

Good stuff!
When you install apps like Kodi, it creates an installation folder in your firestick. Try to move the folder as well, it might move all the add ons etc. I am not really sure though, as i haven't tried it yet.

How do you install?? The es file requires you buy the software to install the.apk
This is basically copying anything you have in the Download folder and NOT transferring apps from one stick to another.

I have many apks transfered to my SDcard. Do I have to transfer them back to the internal drive first before I can copy them to my laptop? Not much storage left on my FireTV internal drive.

Does it copy over the username and password as well or just the app itself?
Most likely not. Usually most of the time you would need to manually copy over the stored credentials from the root directory folder.
So I can copy EVERYTHING from one stick to another? All settings, addons, everything?
From your description, this is not "cloning", to clone, you would need the DATA along with the apps. This is just the apps.

this only works if you saved the .apk. And it doesn't transfer settings. I want to clone from an old to a new. This doesn't help
You won't be able to transfer settings, there is no way to do that.
I opened mine and the only thing that showed up was Filelinked and some mobile app. Whats missing?

I can connect to my Fire stick from my PC however I do not have an APPS folder showing on my PC (where my .apk files are in ES File Manager). When I search for .apk files on my the ftp site it shows there are none. Now I don't know how to proceed.

There are no requirements to start using the new one. Are you thinking of moving data from old to the new?
@@fundoorajat i have the same issue we're moving on to a 4k fire stick tv .....from a our fire tv dongle with dolby vision because its out of space whats the best way to move all of our apps / movies tv etc to this new fire tv 4k seemlessly.
Almost all of my folders are empty... even the Download folder that you demonstrate in this video. Thoughts?
You must have deleted the apk setup files after the installation, hence the folder are empty.
@@fundoorajat so is there an app that can create an install file on fire stick ?... I know on my phone there are apps you can create .apk install files if you no longer have the install file

@@fundoorajat yeah I figured, I've been trying to get the clean Master firestick version apk but I can't seem to find it anywhere and everytime I find a link to where they claim that this is the version a simple click and clean version I always seem to get one that requires the mouse toggle which I don't want

My fire tv is connected to the same wifi network as the laptop. However ES explorer on fire tv does not show the network name while I turn on 'View on PC' and hence unable to ping the ftp link from the laptop.. Any help here?
I was able to access the firestick but all the files were empty. Nothing in "download"
I was able to get the file from my old fire stick to my PC but I can't seem to get the file from the PC to the new fire stick. I was able to install the File manager app on the new stick and see the target folder, but there is no "Paste" option. and control -V doesn't do anything. is there some sort of trick to pasting the file to the target using the web browser?

Rajat Gupta Thank you! I’m having trouble with my Firestick powering up with an old Visio tv in my garage. I have medium strength 5ghz WiFi signal, the tv recognizes the stick in the different hdmi inputs. I’ve tried the power w/usb port as well as ac power- still can’t open? Any thoughts? Thank you
The tv is a Vizio- have you heard anything about using an HDMI or USB splitter in order to resolve this issue?

Rajat Gupta it’s an older model smart tv- it recognizes the Firestick in all the HDMI ports- but doesn’t open up. I’ll keep researching ty Rajat!

That is not cloning one Fire TV Stick, that's just copying apk's to new Stick to install them and then have to set them all up like any IPTV login info. Most people delete the apk files after side loading them so this way is useless.
This is helpful if someone wants to just clone contents of firestick to another while skipping all the tough process.

Hi, you would need to manually copy the apps from that firestick to a new one by connecting to your computer and copying those to your new firestick.

This has NOTHING to do with transferring or cloning, all you are doing is installing the apps
Nops, you are wrong as you can see i was moving apps from one to another.
@@fundoorajat You are not moving them, you are copying the APK and then doing a FRESH Install them on the other one.
