Not really, to be "man" you have to be of god, to be of god is to be in a world of demons.
He changed the world to specifically be something else but as it said eventually people will always become of god again.
Something I love that’s consistant with Lucifer in all the SMT games is that doesn’t curse you for heresy like YHVH and his servants but respects the power and will of all who fight him, while even respecting their differing beliefs.
He truly is YHVH’s opposite as an all-powerful being that embodies the unlimited freedom that Chaos brings.
Dat concept of YHVH sounds more like th3 demiurge
@@facundopitton9011For all intents and purposes in MegaTen adjacent games YHVH is implied to be the Demiurge or atleast having the same nature. There is little practical difference between the Demiurge in Persona 5 and YHVH in Megami Tensei games.

Regardless, while it has never been confirmed to my knowledge, YHVH in the games obviously takes heavy inspiration from the gnostic Demiurge.

I feel like I should mention something, in megaten lucifer and satan are 2 very seperate entities.
Satan is law aligned, an arbiter sent by god in order to test humanity.
While lucifer is the fallen angel who rebelled and offered humanity knowledge, spreading the seeds of chaos and free will.
Lucifer and Satan are two different entities in SMT
His voice is the same in SMT III (Remaster)
The ironic thing is that Nahobino created a world without gods and demons but now has to be a god himself in order to maintain his new world now.

I know the writing of the V sucked but at the end that's not what's going on at all. You can see he's certainly contemplating the knowledge passed on to him from Lucifer and how/whether to break free of the Mandala System. The last thing this game is saying in this ending is that he's maintaining the cycle lol. It's entirely about the opposite of that. In fact it goes beyond the cycle entirely and looks at the big picture in the SMT universe.

And the game says that everything must end, so will his reign. And everything will go back as it was, or take a different turn. But his vision will eventually end.

In SMTV it seems Lucifer found out he too was a problem. If you look at his description he goes from Dark-Chaos to Light-Neutral. It seems he found out Chaos is just as bad as Law.

You'd think given you have to beat Shiva to get this fight, they'd have made Lucifier Phase 2 a bit harder. Instead he's arguably easier than Phase 1, losing his resists and such. Phase 3 could be harder too really.
Actually it seems the intended path was to fight him in NG+ presumably as a fresh build. The quests stack in subsequent playthroughs and you don't have to do them again.
The whole game could've been harder, and yes that includes Shiva 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓 Shitty easy game for Persona fans that don't know real difficulty 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓

He’s buffed a ton in Vengeance if you do fight Trucy now level 99 with inflated stats and stars have higher hp. He’s now impossible to solo without balm farming since you need 402 strength + Figment to 1 shot a star

THIS is my favorite Lucifer design.
It's certainly one of if not the best design, it has the elegance of other versions like Helel, while still being badass like normal.

Ya know. With Vengeance being a thing, with the path of creation essentially being base game. I do hope True Nuetral Lucifer actually gets buffed, since well... In order to fight him, you have to fight a super boss with the completion of other side quests.
Lucifer may be the closest thing to a "good guy" in Shin Megami Tensei.

@@zdude0127 I've never been one to care about graphical fidelity. However, even I can't deny that games like this are pushing the limits of what console is able to handle. Hopefully, this won't be an issue when we get the new game on steam or when the Switch 2 comes out.
@zdude0127 I had gotten a pc the year this game came out and thought to myself wtf is this piece of shit because I was spoiled but then I decided to restart my playthrough like a month before Vengeance was announced and saw that I was being dramatic. Does the switch show its age? Yeah. Is it playable? Absolutely

because lucifer wants the nahobino to defeat him, maybe that’s why he has the ability to make himself more vulnerable to the player’s attacks

i had an idea, and i thought that this would be cool, that this lucifer is also nahobino. he consumed god’s knowledge, his other half, and became whole, hence the new forms
i don’t think this is true tho, or that it makes sense, but “your powers are the same as mine” type final showdowns are kinda cool

From what I can underatand, the ending does turn out to be a world without gods and demons
with the protagonist eternally watching the world in solitude.
But it's also implied that it won't last forever, with the focus being put on the created protagonist, and the god protagonist.
Is there a cycle of the protagonist taking the throne from himself?

In the other routes he only has 1 form, in this he has 2 extra forms, that's all

I love how the true neutral route ends up being the hardest route in these games
TDE is the hardest route in nocturne (lucifer is your true final superboss)
Neutral route in SMT4 is the hardest (you have masakado as a super boss)
True Neutral route is again the hardest route in smt5 (shiva and lucifer as your two super bosses)
Kinda surprising that Lucifer sort of aids Nahobino in a way in this ending
I always hated endings like this tbh ff13 for example and stories that end with it going back to the beginning or infinite loops no change etc. Feels like a slap to the face in my opinion.

There are two neutral endings. One where its destroyed and a more involved one where you use it to stop all supernatural forces from interacting with humanity

but this is the first time that the cycle has actually been broken. As much as everyone thinks that either Law or Chaos Routes are permanent solutions, they are just as ephemeral as what they claim about the Neutral Endings. War will always break out between Law and Chaos. Schisms in ideology. But even if this world is free from the cycle, what about the others in the expanse?

@@MrPoop9000 TDE wasn't a cycle break. Demi-Fiend and Lucifer failed. Freedom was the better ending anyway even if it was a reset. It was a break from the Nihilistic perspective over everyone involved even Lucifer himself. IVA wasn't a cycle break either because YHVH isn't the reason why the cycle exists. The Great Will is the true reason why the Cycle Exists in the first place. SMTV's True Neutral ending is the first true severance from the cycle though how long will that severance last remains untold.

Wow, SMTV, way to make everything we just did in achieving this ending and defeating Lucifer become utterly pointless. "This will last forever, but all things must come to an end."
I hate when stories do that. If you're gonna do something, fucking do it, don't make us spend all that time and effort only to tell us "So, it actually doesn't matter."
Doing that would bring the series to an end.
The Mandala System isn't something you can actually escape from without ending all of reality, and anybody that actually pays attention to SMT's story should know how impossibly doomed an attempt it is to disconnect a whole world from the Mandala OR end reality to be free of it.
Especially considering that YHVH tried to abuse a loophole to do the former and got absolutely blasted by the Great Will for it, while the latter almost ends up happening in SMTIII - only for the botched Conception and Lucifer's misguided usurpation of YHVH to lead into SMTV. (Though The White in SMT IV illustrate the full pointlessness of cutting down reality.)
The matter of the fact is, reality likes to exist and it needs to observe itself in order to do so, and a humanity divorced from that consensus isn't looked kindly upon - as far as we know, non-consensual humanity robs energy from the universe, weakening it and dooming themselves to a finite and non-renewable supply of energy, destined to fizzle away and fall into a dead-end vortex without the Mandala System. The only difference is, there would be no 'false gods' to crawl after the next Conception and return that energy to the cycle.
So of course 'all things must come to an end' - much like in SMTIII's True Demon Ending, your effort and time was spent on the absolute dumbest outcome for the entire multiverse, it was a flex beyond a flex and if an SMT VI ever comes out and follows forward from V, I imagine it would follow from this doomed state where the Mandala System needs to send someone in to tie the world back into the cycle, much like it did to assassinate YHVH's uppity ass.

All of Lucifer's moves in this phase are Demi-fiend's signature moves and he does all of the poses as well, it's another nice tie in that further suggests this follows the TDE from III

like lucifer chose the demi-fiend to be his champion. and to ensure his survival and success, Imbued the demi-fiend with his own power which results In the demi-fiend manifesting more and more of lucifer's own skills and abilities as he grows stronger.
My theory is that simply Demi-Fiend was used to help beat YHVH, but after that Lucifer let him run free, as a Chaos leader would probably do, while he absorbed God’s essence to become top dog.

they nerfed freikugel quite a bit in SMT5.. which is a shame tbh ( i remember days of 45k damage in a single hit)
