Italian-Canadian here! Story: My father’s friend, around 67 now. working as an oil sands insulator in alberta now was a Croatian muslim from north Africa, he moved there a couple years before Yugoslavia broke. Basically he was caught by serbs near Šipovo and tortured, they gun butted his jaw knocking his teeth out. He is still alone today, he has coped with the trauma well, but he does say he could never forget what he saw is Bosnia.
Memories of the year 90. They took us out of school, with the principal walking with us. He was nervous. The war began. The capital was bombed at night. My brothers and I went out to the window, racing to see it. The scene stuck in our minds. And the sirens sounded. I was hiding under the bed, and my father was laughing at me. It was normal for him. His first fight was with a desert wolf at the age of 16. He was a soldier who lived through wars in 1969. My father decided that we went to my aunt in another city. It was a night of very heavy rain. On the road we saw allied equipment and cars. Aerial bombardment. The war penetrated inside me. A pipe was shot down. Water on a family from under the building. A war game. I thought it was a cannon. We returned to the road and the black cloud. I remember it well. May God have mercy on King Fahd and greetings to President Bush and the allies.
@@communistparty-zs2ts According to what I remembered when I was a child in the war, and it lasted from August to the following year 91, it was a great war to liberate a country. The war began in summer and ended in winter, which is my country’s climate. Thank you for your comment, but we are the ones who lived this war.

@@Leviathan399I would imagine he disagrees is because the gulf war did not destabilize the Middle East and was fought to end a hostile invasion and takeover of another country from another. The negative effect it had on the Middle East is only really limited to Iraq, which is hard to say wasn’t their own fault to begin with. The 2003 Iraq war was primarily the US”s responsibility and lead to destabilizing in the region, which is why it’s fair to say we “ruined it” than.
Damn I was born this year. What I do remember is my Vietnam veteran grandpa rushing my 9 year old self to the tv to see the twin towers being attacked in real time. So much has happened in such little time, and it's getting outta control.
They had the fourth biggest army on earth. They launched an unprompted war on an American ally. Not surprising a Russian can't comprehend defensive wars
