- Once renowned for its large striped bass, anglers today are just as likely to visit the Elizabeth Islands in pursuit of false albacore.
In this episode, Chris Megan and Jimmy Fee chase albie schools down the islands, while Chris waxes nostalgic on 25 years of fishing this beautiful and wild archipelago in Massachusetts. - Спорт
Nice retrospective on your fishing around the islands. I'm glad to see the use of single hooks and quick releases of the fish, albies are getting a lot of pressure so every action to keep the fish as healthy as possible will give them a good chance to live and reproduce. We don't want this to be another "you should have seen it 20 years ago" story.
Another awesome video I can't wait for Nantucket fluke season
I’m yet to venture to EI, thank you guys for all the videos!
What a beautiful place! Wow. Hey..Out on the west coast we will land some bonita and these fish look very similar. We haven't seen the longfin albacore our here for a decade or so (down in the south, anyway).
Schoolies love egg/fly combo too.
We call them bonitas in Florida so powerful fun to catch I got 9 in 2 days
The egg is a good idea. Borrowed from fishing for reds down south.
This is the best crew right here, just Chris and jimmy. Although Kevin’s always nice to see too
The disrespect to Cheech, I won't stand for.
Albies ❤️
Beautiful backdrop for catching albies
You should bring the kayaks down next September for a visit. Kevin catches a ton from his Old Town. Thanks Dan! - Adam
@@OnTheWaterMedia Getting down there this fall is very high on my list.
"Pound for pound they are vicious." Oooook.
Just ordered my eggs.
