Ages ago I bought durian at Tampines in the supermarket n it cost SGD 50 per box. It was D24 n si delicious...at that time they had musang king.
Best Durian if from the colour n texture you can see clearly.

Dont want to mention but most seller of durian in malaysia or sg are chinese. They have a slogan 'not good return back' but they use back the not good one and give it to the customer if the had a chance. I personally have been cheated cause i used to buy a lot at a time. And they put 1 not good or rejected.
@Jacky Phantom yup i agree. the best thing for us consumers is to equip ourselves with a bit of knowledge on durian. at least recognise durian varieties, tips to choose good quality durian & standard market pricing.
always buy during peak season. off season durian is always too expensive

Durians are so expensive. I just read that a woman in Penang paid about RM1000 for 3 durians. That's a lot of US$ to pay but she thinks that she was cheated. I wonder whether anyone has got an allergic attack eating these thorny fruits? I understand these allergies can be fatal especially after drinking liquor also. Is that true?
They will inform you the price first before opening it. So she is aware how much it costs. Can't say it's cheating at all.

@@MyMakanTV There is a saying of which I think you know. Eat your family fortune. Yes, the supply and demand equation is an axiomatic statement but I personally think I will always be reasonable to my customers and if it gets too expensive then that is extortionally exorbitant.
