Honestly, I was considering buying this CPU, but I'm just so worried the performance improvement won't be worth such a high price. Could you one more like this and include the running average and 1% Lows at 1080p Ultra (with no Vsync)? That's how I could really measure the improvement I'd be getting. My current CPU can get averages around 60, but the 1% lows are terrible.
Did the test: ruclips.net/video/LFE6XgOxIU4/видео.html it drops below 60 once or twice when riding a horse through, I think shadows on ultra are the culprit, they are extremely unoptimized. What CPU do you have? I went from 2700X to 3D, and 3D means I can finally play Cyberpunk with RT and crowd density on high and keep 60fps (apart from the market behind Tom Diner, that place murders CPUs).

I have the 4070 super which is slightly better than this, but have the 3600 and am thinking of upgrading to the 5800x3d, so was wondering how well Rattay works because right now I am dropping to about 45 fps while being at about 110fps in the forests, and am stuttering and freezing a bit too.
@@8Paul7 wow that is actually crazy, I think an upgrade is in order. Do you only drop to around 85/90fps in Rattay now? That’s what it looks like in your newest video, which is crazy because mine goes to 45. Have you tried riding through Rattay at full speed?
I wonder if this would be worth upgrading to over my current 5800x? It looks more stable than my current 5800x but you also have a 3080ti and I use a 3080, I also use an ENB now.
@@PeriQue1337 Rattay is CPU bound so your GPU wont do anything to help it. Its why I asked originally if a 5800x3D will help much ( I did it as I got it for trading in my old rig ) and tbh its not made much difference overall. The game just is not optimised enough in cities.
@@lilpain1997 For me rattay is the only part of the game which have frame drops. Also it’s useful to set some settings down to very high to prevent cpu boundary
Depends on game really but sometimes ryzen 5800x3d is 50% faster compared to 5800x, in fallout 4 for example (I`m playing with 700 mods at the moment).
How can i turn VSYNC on? If i tunr it on in the Game settings nothing happens! I have with my 11700K and 3080 in 1440p over 100FPS! The FPS arent locked to 60…
@@8Paul7 I‘ve tried so many things! Because I have some issues with this Game after reeinstalled it since release in 2018. And I think this Game doesn‘t run stable with my 11700k so i was thinking to „Upgrade“ on a 5800X3D because all i do with my PC is Gaming! Yesterday I have reeinstalled Windows 10 and changed some settings in Windows because KCD cuases a whole System crash after a few minutes before I reinstalled windows. Only thing I want was playing KCD again this weekend 😅🙈 played it today a few minutes after the fresh windows installation and it seems it runs now stable. But I don’t trust it that much 😅 Try it later with the VSYNC in the NVIDIA settings! And Fullscreen is enabled.

Because that is my goal, to have smooth 60 vsynced without drops. I was checking the GPU utilization to see if I am getting close to 99% somewhere that would require dropping some settings.
@@8Paul7 Go for very high preset. Trust me, it looks the same and you'll never drop below 60 with a 3080 Ti. Not even a 4090 can run this on ultra without drops in Rattay, actually I achieve the same framerate on my 4090 as I did on a 3080 Ti. This game can't utilize all gpu's power and the ultra settings are broken.

I just uploaded a video you asked for, with vsync disabled, go check it. I went from 2700X to 5800X3D, it doubled framerate in CPU limited scenarios.

Works fine on my end. Do you have fullscreen enabled and vsync set to auto in drivers?
