Luna Lights Wonderland is a new family-friendly attraction in Johor Bahru, running from now until August 11, 2024. This roving carnival, currently set up in Taman Bukit Layang Layang in Pasir Gudang, is just a 30-minute drive from the JB Checkpoint. Open daily from 7 PM to 12 AM, it offers a variety of activities including stunning light installations and carnival rides. Tickets are priced at RM15 for adults and RM8 for children under 12, with free entry for infants under one year old. Payments can also be made via the Touch'n Go e-wallet app.
The event features 1.4 million LED bulbs that are energy-efficient, using 90% less power and lasting 25 times longer than traditional bulbs. The Kedah iteration of this carnival even earned a spot in the Malaysia Book of Records for being the largest lighting festival in a park. Spanning 7 acres, the Pasir Gudang venue is divided into five themed sections: Space, Ocean, Animals, Romance, and Misty Forest. Each area offers unique installations, such as heart-shaped lights in the Romance section and planet and spaceship displays in the Space area, making it perfect for capturing memorable photos. The Ocean section showcases large sea creatures illuminated in whimsical lights, while the Misty Forest features fog and lights for a magical atmosphere. The Animal section has life-sized animal displays, perfect for children to pose next to, though they are encouraged not to climb on them.
To reach Urban Park Pasir Gudang, visitors can rent a car or use a Grab service, with parking available at Jalan Masjid or Bukit Layang Layang Park.
