We recorded this 4k ultra hd video during our trip to Turin, Italy on June 2019.
Turin is a city and an important business and cultural centre in northern Italy. It is the capital city of Piedmont and was the first Italian capital from 1861 to 1865.
It is ranked third in Italy, after Turin and Rome, for economic strength and is also home to much of the Italian automotive industry.
Turin is well known for its Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, Neo-classical, and Art Nouveau architecture.
Our guided walking tour is about 5 miles (8 km) long, starts at Statuto Square, ends at Valentino Park and covers most attractions and historic sites of Turin.

I am surprised by how beautiful Turin is and how well preserved its buildings are. Milan is more glamorous, but Turin is more beautiful.

Italy like a dream, art everywhere, so romantic. I remember my trips to Italy Milan Ferrare Bologne Veneza Trevise, it is so beautiful and the people are so kind even when you are french and you don't speak italian, they are wellcoming. Je me souviens surtout de mon voyage à Cagliari avec une escale à Rome, un voyage dans le ciel merveilleux et une ïle paradisiaque, la vie dans le port est calme, la mer est belle et nous avons pu dormir chez une dame très accueillante, le cout de la vie est moins cher qu'en France, la vie est plus douce, il semble que le temps n'a pas d'emprise sur l'Italie et les italien(nes).
I now regret not going to Turin when we were in Italy.

Turin is probably the most grand of Italian cities, it has that Parisian or Viennese grandeur and elegance that other italian cities don't have. Turin is also a very safe city, probably the safest of the big cities and since it's underrated it is usually not crowded with tourists like Rome or Florence are.
I thought the same with the architecture. Reminds me a lot of france/switzerland

Torino is unlike any Italian cities and so enjoyable to walk around with many Baroque museums and palaces. Looking forward to be back again after the pandemic fiasco.

Obviously you can't move there now ... it seems that unless you are very wealthy or extremely important nobody can get in the Italy and nobody can leave .
A dear friend of mine has a girlfriend trapped there right now ... her passport was taken and then she vanished he even went through the embassy and he is very worried sick about her as she ended up with no money and nobody knows if she's even alive or being held against her will

it was recorded during the pandemic in summer i guess, i think everybody was on vacation. the few people u see are tourists which are not so many like in more touristic cities (venice, rome, florence...). turin is quite underrated

Turin is by roman foundation but I don't think there are ruins (you could check on wikipedia). Maybe in the same region, but che city of the Royals went rearranged too much to keep evident ruins.
By the way, Torino is a big city for italian standard. But honestly I think big cities of Italy (of Europe!) are still enjoyable even if quite large.
I watched this walking tour and visited Turin in Oct 2023. I parked my rental car near attractions, in front of a university in a safe looking area and walked the historical part of the city for about 2-hr. We came back & our car was vandalized, 3 windows were broken, & our money, luggages (were in the truck), and everything else were stolen. I asked people for help, they didn't, the police arrived but was useless. I checked later & found out that Turin has a crime rate for vandalism of 60 which is considered high. Very disappointed!
