    Thanks! Funny thing is I knew how to do it a while ago and then I forgot. Your video helps spark my memory. It can take hours of playing around to find this out by yourself…

    Thank you for the tutorial! I'm using version 5.11.1 and could not find ""selection display inspector" and it seems like they moved it to "edit" -> "find data" -> "selection display" . Just wanted to say this in case someone else is having trouble with newer versions.

    Is it possible to write node or element sets into vtk (vtu) files and highlight these sets? Thank you very much.

    Hi Cyprien, I am wondering is there any change you know how to display all the points according to some conditions in paraview? I'd like to identify the dynamic mesh region, which is sets of points that the pointDisplacement is not zero. I have known the pointDisplacement vector for all the points in the field at one time. Thanks!

    Hi Cyprien, I used the delauney3d filter to create a mesh in paraview from a csv file containing x,y,z coordinates. Do you know how I can export the mesh to python to do some calculations please? (strain fields etc.) I'm very new to python and paraview.

    Sir can you start by explaining how to import .mat file of mesh from matlab to paraview and then do the processing

    Hi Cyprien,
    Thank you so much. I will appreciate it if you can share tutorials for postprocessing ansys workbench analysis with paraview? I can not postprocess cyclic symmetry analysis results as linearized stress with ansys wb. So, I think that I can postprocess with paraview.
    Thanks in advance,
    Talha

      That’s a good question Talha. As all proprietary software, Ansys protects a lot the export of data in various ways which makes it difficult to export in VTK directly... maybe you could try to export in Nastran format (*nas). Paraview should be able to read that. Otherwise, another possible way would be to build your own custom script in Python to convert the data, but that’s not easy... you can check on google, probably you will find people who tried.

    Thanks for the video. Can you tell me plz how can i display coordinate of points or cells in spreadSheetView?

    • @Feaforall
      @Feaforall  4 года назад

      Now that you ask I’ll have to check, but I believe that the coordinates of the cells are automatically recorded in the spreadsheet view... if not, check the options in the (very ) small bar on top of the view
