I would buy that series in a heart beat. I just found this a day ago and I can't remember the last time i laughed so hard. The Goldfinger song has been stuck in my head non-stop. It's too perfect and exactly how my friends and I poke fun at Ringos solo work.
It really feel like this song could easily be on Goodnight Vienna, or y not. I can't believe there is another songwriter who can capture the magic that is Ringo.
This is still my all time favourite sketch, right up my street humour wise. I first saw this when it aired in 2007 and I was just about to head into town to meet some friends and I was giggling to myself the whole way into town 🤣🤣
"Now then Mr. Bond, I've heard that you're a swinger Leave my wife alone, please Mr. Bond, don't steal 'er Watching our Mr. Bond, if I catch you doing 'er I'll drown that bitch in gold, and then I'll 'ave to sling 'er Goldfinger Goldfinger"
I saw a ranking of all songs the other day. Sam Bloody Smith's was no. 3. And the new one by someone called Billy, was no. 2. Adele first, of course. Nobody does it better criminally low down.
I think that Ringo should appreciate that those who told him why it couldn't be used were very nice. Send them a card bongo! "It was his favorite thinga!" classic
Now then Mr Bond, I've heard you're a swinger Leave my wife alone! Please Mr Bond, don't steal 'er A forlorn hope, considering what happened in The Spy Who Loved Me...
By the way, I watched the Imagine doc on Sky Arts, and there was a bit where various celebrities John and Yoko knew came through a door to different tunes. The chat show host Dick Cavett came through the door and his tune was the same tune used on the intro to the Peter Serafinowicz Show!
So this Goldfinger theme sounds suspiciously like Don't Pass Me By, and despite it appearing on 1968's White Album, Ringo first spoke about it in a 1963 interview
I think the joke was just that he didn't even finish writing the song when the film was being made. Its relation to Don't Pass Me By being a song that took Ringo years to write was probably coincidental
I am always impressed by Peter's attention to detail both in songwriting and audio engineering. I am dying to hear the rest of the Goldfinger theme, as I assume that the whole thing was written before choosing which parts to feature in the show. If anyone knows that this is available somewhere, let me know
lol.. Poor bloody Ringo always at the butt of every bloody Beatles joke. All his songs sound like nursery rhymes, but they'll still good. I think his best song was Octopus' Garden.
darrouken to be honest...a lot of hit songs sound like nursery rhymes...most non-singers have maybe an octave they can comfortably sing & it means that everyone can join in Plus, I’m sure Ringo doesn’t mind the jokes...he’s a multi-millionaire married to an ex-Bond girl and has some of the best musicians in his All Starr band whenever he fancies it! 😂
Does anyone know what that last line is as the song fades out? I can make out..."well i know that this is bond, and i've heard that you're a swinger..." what does he say after that? anyone?
do you know if this dvd has lyrics also? i'm looking for somone great shows like this to improve my bad english while laughing!! Peter is the best....but i'm not a great speaker.....
@RingoStarrForLife1 What's even more re - 'tart' - ed, as you put it, are People Who Talk In Sentences Capitalising The Start Of Each Word Because Its Irritating And Makes You Pause After Each Word You Read. Apple Corps. must have liked Peter Serafinowicz's impressions of the Beatles enough to have cast him as Paul in the remake of Yellow Submarine also, by the way..
Well, I just think that Peter Serafinowicz should just bloody make a full bloody series based on the Beatles.
Eddie Marais He was almost in a remake of the Yellow Submarine.
In my wildest dreams...
You mean on the bloody Beatles...
I would buy that series in a heart beat. I just found this a day ago and I can't remember the last time i laughed so hard. The Goldfinger song has been stuck in my head non-stop. It's too perfect and exactly how my friends and I poke fun at Ringos solo work.
I bloody love Peter Seranfinowicz. Do anyone know if he has a RUclips channel?
I love how Peter even has Ringo's little American-isms that he's picked up from living in LA for nearly his entire life
For anyone wondering, the last line is "Leave my wife alone, please Mr. Bond, don't steal her." (I found a version without Ringo's narration once...)
"...now then Mr Bond, I heard that you're a swinger...leave my wife alone etc."
Thank u
Then Ringo stole Anya off Bond.
I still think this is one of the best things Serafinowicz has ever done.
This man loves his gold, it is his favourite thinger.
I just bloody watched this ten times in a row
Alex Royall 🤣
Bloody good.
Fun fact: The first Bond film - Dr No - and the debut Beatles single - Love Me Do - were released on the same day, October 5 1962.
yep little did anybody know what a big year 1962 would be for pop-culture
bloody 'ell
The Beatles song was originally called "Love Me No" until Cubby Broccoli sued them.
Bond mentions the Beatles in Goldfinger. He compares listening to the Beatles without earmuffs to drinking Dom Perignon at room temperature!
Can't stop imagining this actually being a bond theme 😂
The song is spot on for a Ringo number. So good!
It uses the chords from Don't Pass Me By, which he wrote. Nice touch.
I love this song so much😂😂 i want the full song
This is my favorite thing-uh!
"That's as bad as listening to The Beatles without earmuffs" - James Bond
I bloody love Ringo Remembers, bloody love it.
Bloody bond. I bloody love him.
I've heard that it's gold, and i've heard it's a finger! hahahahaha
I actually love this song.
I bloody love it.
It really feel like this song could easily be on Goodnight Vienna, or y not.
I can't believe there is another songwriter who can capture the magic that is Ringo.

Brilliant sketch, will definately be picking this up on DVD when it comes out!.
thanks peter,

Goldfinger"
This bond tune is based on the theme tune to the 80s series of Thomas The Tank Engine which was narrated by Ringo Starr
I thought it sounded like the Thomas theme! I knew it wasn't just a coincidence lol
To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if Ringo actually wrote this
I’m dead. This guy is a bloody legend.
still better than Sam Smith's Bond song
That's not even a joke, that's genuine.
It's not very hard to be
I saw a ranking of all songs the other day. Sam Bloody Smith's was no. 3. And the new one by someone called Billy, was no. 2.
Adele first, of course.
Nobody does it better criminally low down.
@@wrightyy you should hear the song radiohead wrote for spectre. Can't believe they used the sam smith one instead
😂😂
These Peter Serafinowicz vids are just brilliant !!! I didnt realise he'd recorded so much.... Happy days.
I think that Ringo should appreciate that those who told him why it couldn't be used were very nice. Send them a card bongo! "It was his favorite thinga!" classic
You know its a tune when they reject the song for the soundtrack but still make a music video for it
I love how he says it took him 7 years to write it!!
Now then Mr Bond, I've heard you're a swinger
Leave my wife alone! Please Mr Bond, don't steal 'er
A forlorn hope, considering what happened in The Spy Who Loved Me...
This gives me life
By the way, I watched the Imagine doc on Sky Arts, and there was a bit where various celebrities John and Yoko knew came through a door to different tunes. The chat show host Dick Cavett came through the door and his tune was the same tune used on the intro to the Peter Serafinowicz Show!
hey dont shoot me, im just the bloody singer! hahahaha
I hope we hear this bloody song in Sam Mendes' Ringo movie
Bloooody Bond.
I never understood the "took me 7 years to write it" line until recently.
Oh and the great Matt Berry wrote this!
vikingfortiesfaeroes I guess I don’t quite get the 7 years joke. Still thought it was funny though
So this Goldfinger theme sounds suspiciously like Don't Pass Me By, and despite it appearing on 1968's White Album, Ringo first spoke about it in a 1963 interview

I hear Octopus's Garden and Live And Let Die
@@BigKahunaShake its meant to sound like thomas the tank engine, ringo famously narratedl the british version
This song needs to go on iTunes! I would buy it! :D
0:20 This song should be fully written! I love it!❤
The Bond theme we didnt know we wanted
This song would've brought that movie to a whole new world of previously unexplored awesome.
How can you possibly hate this guy
I actually thought this was Ringo until I read the Wiki page lol.
I wish he did a full a song.
Bloody Bond. I bloody love 'im.
I love his lips when he endes a sentence
Shame there's not a full length version, I'd dub it over the original.
Bloody amazing!
That song has Matt Berry written all over it, please, prove me wrong.
I wish they used this song for a JamesBond movie :P
Gold finger !
don't pass me by
All he knows about the film is clearly just the title.
It took 7 years to record yet it was still deemed too modern. Ringo was waaay ahead of his time. 💪
I like this version better than the one they ultimately used.
THanks for posting, i adore this
Don't pass me by :D bloody brilliant

This is so accurate lol.
"Ringo, it's called goldfinger and it's a bond film. Do u need any more information b4 u write this"
"Nope, got it"
@NyeTunes
"Well then, Mr. Bond, I've heard that you're a swinger.
Leave my wife alone, please Mr. Bond don't steal her!"
This actually makes me cry with laughter
Thank you...so bloody much!...
This is still better than Blondie's attempt at For Your Eyes Only

lol dont pass me by
It is his favourite thing.... er
I wish Ringo Starr was actually a second Peter Serafinowicz in character as him.
LMAO! This is amazing
They broadcast this show here in Sweden to on TV4 komedi (it's on tonight acctually) and i f*cking love it!
Sounds like something the real Ringo would have wrote.
Omg...IT DOES?!?!
Google "Don't Pass Me By" lol
Where can we get the rest of the song?
+koolstup I think it's the last track on "Revolter".
koolstup ikr
It's popped up on RUclips from time to time. Not much else to it!
Oh my fucking god this is brilliant. XD
I represent Americans who love this guy... And British 'humour'.
this explains The Beatles "earmuffs" diss in the movie!
This video is more popular than Jesus Christ.
RudiThePrudi - you used to take him seriously?! It's awesome, right down to the way he says "aand urm"!
I usually don't care about this stuff, but one person disliked this? It's remarkable that only one person didn't like it.
I wish there was a full song
The piano in the back is so familiar.
The next line is: "Leave my wife alone, please Mr Bond dont steal her"
haha this BLOODY owns
Genius parody.
ha ha ha ha, it took 7 years to write it, brilliant.

Another one*****
@RudiThePrudi- lol, I cant say he was ever taken seriously.
The film come and gone...😄
It ever be possible to take Ringo seriously ?
AAAAHND URM
Don’t pass me by basically
hAHAHAHAHAH. FUNNY.
If Adam and Joe didn't write this then I'd be very surprised.
@RingoStarrForLife1 Who likes Ringo?
@RingoStarrForLife1 lol dude i like ringo but i dont think he should be taken seriously,i dont even think he takes himself seriously.
Still better than Madonna.
Aaaand urmm
Hero worship *sigh*
Inaccurate. Ringo didn’t have a moustache in 1964 when it was made. Have u seen him in “Hard Day’s Night” the same year it was made?
Yes but it took him 7 year to write it (a la Don't Pass Me By) which is why it wasn't used...
Anyone else think this song sounds like the Thomas The Tank Engine theme? hahaha
Yeah I def did especially because of Starr narrating the first season or so
