Rowan Atkinson based the character of Mr Bean on a nine year old boy and what a nine year old would do, so you could say he's a nine year old in a grown ups body. In fact Mr Bean is an Alien visiting Earth if you watch some episodes in the opening credits there is a beam of light as he is dropped down from what could be a spaceship.

I think the order in which the episodes came out are the best way to introduce people to Mr Bean, just like it was intended. The Exam is a perfect example of his behaviour and also the inventiveness of the scripts. There's some really good stuff in the 90's series.
What I don't like about "clips" is that they don't show you the full sketch, which are always full of set ups and pay offs, they might work as individual bits but there's some very clever stuff in which the sketches end.

The wedding scene wasn't in an actual episode. It was done for comic relief. I think it's one of the best

I just got back from Thailand and Mr Bean is God over there. They even have Mr Bean cafe's. And if you do the Mr Bean dance in a nightclub the women will flock to you. It's pretty crazy. The reason he's so popular worldwide is because he barely speaks and his comedy is visual so it doesn't matter what language you speak you just get it.

Check out The thin blue line. Same actor but he speaks and is a police officer and funny asf. Also the guy next to him plays the rival officer of a near by station in The thin blue line.

My favourite of Mr Bean has to be the clip where he tries to sleep and he tries everything he can to try fall asleep, also the Christmas specials are very funny

I do not agree about it being repetitive. It isnt any more repetitive than any other comedy. It goes into all sorts of daily situations that makes you think differently about things. Bean is an idiot but definetly an out of the box thinker.

Mr Bean isn't all about what you call 'impolite' comedy. There is a bit of slapstick and a lot of situational comedy that doesn't feature any impoliteness. You really should watch on your own as there are many more that are funnier than these two.
The lunch on the park bench, the whole Xmas episode, the department store, the trip to the beach and especially the exam are highly recommended. FYI, they may not be the actual names of the sketches. :-)
