Your shirt is like getting a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I love it. I think the binding on the flounce is the perfect touch. Your creation really sings to me. It is colorful and looks extravagant. But it is a T-shirt made out of cotton/lycra. Perfection!
Right?! :) the things that we can do with cotton lycra :) Also... about the binding, I think the binding on the flounce also helped with making it more pronounced. I looked at the footage before the binding was attached and at the final result and the difference is quite noticeable! So interesting!
Ah, thank you! I hope you will enjoy the final result :) I am thinking this could look great all in one color, also in a print, geometric or floral and in a more classic combo, like navy and white! :)
Thank you, Pavla! This could be cute as a top for younger girls, too, also would be nice with added circle skirt! Here's the Members Extra for this top - ruclips.net/video/llIKgzAUmeA/видео.html
Oh yes, I think all one print would be fun, too. Viscose will be floaty, as you mentioned, but also perhaps a bit droopier and lacking body in the flounce. I did two garment comparison in this DEEP DIVE, also with a flounce element and you can see the difference that the fabric brings - ruclips.net/video/d1fmqFVGtFA/видео.html also, let me know if you have any questions - I will include them in the upcoming Members Extra :) I am so happy this ignited your imagination :)
@@ThoughtfulCreativity yes I was thinking I'd have to double up the founce and maybe some light knit interfacing if I went light. You are so creative !
Viscose, silk, cotton poplin, or a combination of a variety of different fabrics - I think this could be a great option to combine multiple fabrics together. I can see the main garment being made in crepe and the flounce made in silk, for example. By the way, here's the Members Extra for it - ruclips.net/video/llIKgzAUmeA/видео.html
@@stitchersdelightI have some lightweight, flowy challis that I want to use. I’m not sure of the fabric content because I’ve had it so long! 😔 Doubling the flounce and using interfacing sounds like a good experiment to do before cutting out. Thanks.
This was really fun to watch. You really achieved a lot of impact without a hundred embellishments. Those colors are perfect for dreary January! Thank you for sharing this with us!
We need a bright, one of a kind, garment now and then. This could help your little one find her way back to you (when you travel together). It's beautiful on you. It looks very comfortable. Thank you.
Oh! I just love that top, so MUCH! Purple and yellow are on opposite sides of the color wheel and are therefore complimentary, orange is next to yellow….i say it counts!😁 That flounce is so graceful, so I now know what to do with some very drapey peacock blue sheer knit scraps I have been saving for something special; thank you!
I love how the bright, fun colours pop in contrast to the chilly weather I've been experiencing. Also some great reminders for lucky members of your channel! Becoming a member was one of my easiest and best life decisions ❤ There's always something creative and beautiful to add to my to-do list 🎉
I love this idea! Absolutely not my colors, but I think I'll try with some other colors. And probably without the sleeve. Now I'm getting very excited! I need to check my stash!😂
Marisa, hello there, here's the Members Extra for it, in the second half of the video I answer you question :) - ruclips.net/video/llIKgzAUmeA/видео.html

I haven’t even watched 1/3 and I’m already in love with it. The colors are not for me, but I do think they look GREAT together.

I LOVE these colors together !! Such a fun top out of scraps!! ❤
I love both versions, such a great idea ❤

@ThoughtfulCreativity thank you Alisa. That is so true, it's almost time to start sewing for spring and summer ☺️🌼 ⛱️🌞.
That is really fun ! Love the colours, I bet it would look really cute in a floaty viscose as well. You have stirred my imagination , thank you !

Such great thinking! Doubling up would also make life easier for finishing the edge of the flounce!

Your videos help give me the nerve to cut and sew new designs! You're the best, Alisa.🩷
Love this! What a cheery combination for this cold winter day!
So creative! Beautifully done, Alisa!
Thank you so much dear, Nancy!
Thank you for letting me know the sustainable way.💜

What fun! I love the plum and tangarine combo.

Well that's different !! Love it.
Gorgeous 😍
You make this look so easy.
So cute!
Thanks, Nora!
As a new sewer your ideas are so creative and give me the confidence to give it a go. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for this video. It does spark my creativity. Thanks for sharing.
What a beautiful top, id call it a half cape t shirt..its beautiful, well done.
What a bright fun project. I love color block. Thank you Alisa ❤
The piping makes it. Love it 🥰
Hermoso, so beautiful 😍
Beautiful top. I will be making one like this.
Absolutely stunning!!
This could even use a ruffle at the bottom too!
I love this idea! Absolutely not my colors, but I think I'll try with some other colors. And probably without the sleeve. Now I'm getting very excited! I need to check my stash!😂
I’m new to sewing and new subscriber. This is a really pretty top. I’ve thought about making a paper bag patchwork skirt for summer with my scraps.🩷
Can bigger bust work for this
Great question - we will take a look at that in the Members Extra

I have a question? The fabric you have draped over your ladder is beautiful, where did you get it?
I shouldn’t be watching while drinking a Coronarita. I got confused when you were pinning the flounce. But I love the blouse.

Hi Alisa, you’re so talented. Love the shirt.
