i got mine done last summer and i have a really low pain tolerance... i'd say the pain was a 2 on a 1-10 scale, seriously. the most uncomfortable part was that the guy used a clamp instead of a cork to make the process of piercing my nose easier. the actual piercing was quick and nearly painless, but it was sore for a few days. i closed my eyes the entire time because I can't watch being pierced (even with shots), but I don't normally freak out. it seriously wasn't a bad experience for me at all.

My mom never liked it either and still doesn't! It's because in the eyes of their generation, it's not normal and they see it as a gross mutilation of the body. Our generation differentiates with this as it's more in style with us. This is also why older people say girls my age are 'too young'. The way I see it, it's the level of maturity, not the number of years you've been alive.
SophieGobeille I'm scared of needles too like really bad. I got my ears done a couple of years back and I closed my eyes so I couldn't see the needle at all, it kinda helps me a lot. I guess I'm good at making myself brave though bc I'm used to having panic attacks :/ if your determination outweighs your fear you're in a good place :)
I have a fear of needles too! Mine is becuz when I was younger I had a bleeding disorder and I had to be in the hospital a lot and have IV's put in me a lot!
Oh god, I hope you're ok now *hugs* I think mine might be bc my mum has blood problems too (and she had other things) so when I was about 5/6 she was always in hospital with IV's and she had scars on her hands from them and it just wasn't very nice :/ Even know she has to inject herself with stuff a couple of times a week to function bc of her blood disorder and it sucks, especially since it's genetic and I could develop it at any time, I've had 2 scares so far :/ Stay strong :)

Employers have dress codes. Like they want their business staff to be professional. And If i were a manager at a place and i was interviewing people and they had nose piercings/Lip piercings/eye piercings/No gauges. And also most managers would tell them to take it out before they start work. Because most people may think it looks trashy. While other people may think they are trying to express theirselfs. My work has a dress code of no nose piercings. We can have tattoos ONLY. If they are NOT VISIBLE to the human eye. They NEED to be Hidden

OMG i got my nose pierced today and hell it bled so much like a waterfall. How didn't she bleed like not almost at all? My nose bled for an hour. It was crazy. It didn't even hurt that much it was over in a second. That was actually the best part of it i was so excited and it didn't even hurt at all amazing.

omg, I can't believe there's soo many people out there who think guns are better than needles. -.- i don't think you're aware that you can get HIV or any other disease because a gun cannot be cleaned. it makes me facepalm so hard that some people are just too lazy to do research and take care of themselves. instead everyone looks for a simple solution and cheaper ofc, not thinking about the consequences. everyone who pierced something with a gun - you had luck, nothing more, but any quality piercer will tell you that guns are dangerous.
I got my nose piercing done with a gun. But this one was only being used once and then thrown out, plus the cartridge was embedded in the gun along with my sterilized piercing. The gun was hand pressured rather than air pressured. It all depends on the kind of gun and the sanitary method the piercer has. No, I didn't get it professionally done. But the piercing has caused no issues. So technically, piercing guns aren't all deathly. Just ask around.
I had my nose pierced by a gun and My Lord It was one of the worst things I have ever done! I had it done and throughtout the first day it was good but then the next day it started to sink in my nose and this cause major swelling and bleeding! I had to take it out and it closed of leaving no scar thankfully! I will be getting another nose piercing but it will be done at a tatoo parlour by a needle! MORAL OF THE STORY; DONT GET YOUR NOSE PIERCED BY A GUN!!
I'm 14 and my mom is letting me get one. Because I am really mature for my age. Nose piercings are so common. They are basically like an ear piercing. I see people say things like, you are destroying your body by poking holes in it, but they are the same people who got their ears pierced in pre school. People over think it. I told my parents, it's not like I'm going to be 80 years old in the nursing home with my nose piercing still there. If i get tired of it, i can take it out. They aren't forever, they close up, and I will never understand parents you look at their children as if their body belongs to them. My body is my body and what i choose to do with it is up to me. That is always how i will feel.

(I was wondering the same thing when I got mine done, because I wear liquid foundation occasionally). When I got my nostril piercing done, my piecer informed me not to get any makeup/foundation within a chapstick-top sized circle around the piercing. Makeup can clog the site of the wound, and may cause infection. Hope this helps! And I say go for it! It's definitely worth it; one of my favorite piercings.

I'd recommend getting it on the opposite side of the hand you write on, I was once told that that's good to do. Lucky for me I write left handed, and my selfie side is my right side😂😂

I turned 18 a couple days ago and I really want one, but my parents would shun me. I got my nose pierced last month and I was literally like you. I kept asking questions and being like "oh is it true if-" or "Are you going to mark it so I can wear a hoop-" and ect. He was the most boring and monotonous man I've ever met, but he did a good job. He put the needle through when he told me to breathe out so that I wouldn't feel as much pain, but honestly it didn't hurt.

I made a power point thingy on my Chromebook because I was so nervous I couldn't speak. Maybe that will work? +Emily Nicole the one that "just goes straight in" Is also called a bone and you do NOT want that. Why? To try and prevent the bone from slipping out, the barbell has a tiny thick bump on the end that sits on the inside. Pushing this part in and out of the piercing is distressing on the area. If the piercing is 1.2 mm wide, you don't shove something that's bigger than that through it. You risk getting horrible scarring bumps that won't go away.
I got my nose pierced today and it hurt. On a scale from 1-10 it was a 4/5 and after 5 hours it is still sore. But I'm happy I did it!!! Now a video I would love to see is you caring for it because the guy who did mine didn't explain it much.
Just got mine done! If you are thinking about it then just do it. Where I went the cleaned the outside and inside of my nose three times each with two different cleaners. They also cleaned it twice after, the guy was so nice. It hurts but it is so worth it
The stud will be a 0.8mm which is standard size, however you can get 1.0mm and 1.2mm nose piercings depending on what you want. To me in the video it looked 0.8mm

Get it with the gun, I had two options, a needle, or the gun. The gun is easier, but I got the needle because I got a hoop not a stud.

Hannah Blair hey :) I got my nose pierced like 4 months ago and it still hurts I used to put a corkscrew style but now i changed it to bone and it hurts so much my question is how long does it takes to heal?
I asked my mom when I was 14 and she was like nah. I asked my mom when I was 17 and she was like nah. I asked my mom at 20, still no. I am now 21 going on 22, asked her yesterday and she was like hell nooo. am I going to get it tomorrow? Fuckin hell ya man!?!?!?!! I'm going to be graduating from university hopefully in April. i WANNA DO THIS FOR MYSELF. and you only live once. Ma, i love you but this is something i gotsta do ;P

Employers have dress codes. Like they want their business staff to be professional. And If i were a manager at a place and i was interviewing people and they had nose piercings/Lip piercings/eye piercings/No gauges. And also most managers would tell them to take it out before they start work. Because most people may think it looks trashy. While other people may think they are trying to express theirselfs. My work has a dress code of no nose piercings. We can have tattoos ONLY. If they are NOT VISIBLE to the human eye. They NEED to be Hidden

OMG i got my nose pierced today and hell it bled so much like a waterfall. How didn't she bleed like not almost at all? My nose bled for an hour. It was crazy. It didn't even hurt that much it was over in a second. That was actually the best part of it i was so excited and it didn't even hurt at all amazing.

omg, I can't believe there's soo many people out there who think guns are better than needles. -.- i don't think you're aware that you can get HIV or any other disease because a gun cannot be cleaned. it makes me facepalm so hard that some people are just too lazy to do research and take care of themselves. instead everyone looks for a simple solution and cheaper ofc, not thinking about the consequences. everyone who pierced something with a gun - you had luck, nothing more, but any quality piercer will tell you that guns are dangerous.
Not to mention, you can shatter cartilage, the gun can jam, and they're also inaccurate.
I got my nose piercing done with a gun. But this one was only being used once and then thrown out, plus the cartridge was embedded in the gun along with my sterilized piercing. The gun was hand pressured rather than air pressured. It all depends on the kind of gun and the sanitary method the piercer has. No, I didn't get it professionally done. But the piercing has caused no issues. So technically, piercing guns aren't all deathly. Just ask around.
I had my nose pierced by a gun and My Lord It was one of the worst things I have ever done! I had it done and throughtout the first day it was good but then the next day it started to sink in my nose and this cause major swelling and bleeding! I had to take it out and it closed of leaving no scar thankfully! I will be getting another nose piercing but it will be done at a tatoo parlour by a needle! MORAL OF THE STORY; DONT GET YOUR NOSE PIERCED BY A GUN!!

I'm 14 and my mom is letting me get one. Because I am really mature for my age. Nose piercings are so common. They are basically like an ear piercing. I see people say things like, you are destroying your body by poking holes in it, but they are the same people who got their ears pierced in pre school. People over think it. I told my parents, it's not like I'm going to be 80 years old in the nursing home with my nose piercing still there. If i get tired of it, i can take it out. They aren't forever, they close up, and I will never understand parents you look at their children as if their body belongs to them. My body is my body and what i choose to do with it is up to me. That is always how i will feel.

(I was wondering the same thing when I got mine done, because I wear liquid foundation occasionally). When I got my nostril piercing done, my piecer informed me not to get any makeup/foundation within a chapstick-top sized circle around the piercing. Makeup can clog the site of the wound, and may cause infection. Hope this helps! And I say go for it! It's definitely worth it; one of my favorite piercings.

I'd recommend getting it on the opposite side of the hand you write on, I was once told that that's good to do. Lucky for me I write left handed, and my selfie side is my right side😂😂

He actually depends on the size of the ring or stud you have in. They mostly have the 18 gauge though, i got mine done like a month ago and i got 18 gauge

I got my nose pierced last month and I was literally like you. I kept asking questions and being like "oh is it true if-" or "Are you going to mark it so I can wear a hoop-" and ect. He was the most boring and monotonous man I've ever met, but he did a good job. He put the needle through when he told me to breathe out so that I wouldn't feel as much pain, but honestly it didn't hurt.

pblod23 when u first get it done, you need to keep it as a stud until it heels but after it heels and then u can change it into a hoop

It should never be done with a gun, for future reference! The gun is safe on ear lobes, but can shatter the cartilage in other areas.

+Mimi Tica the ones that twist are like THE HARDEST things to get out. It's best if you just have the L shaped one or one that just goes straight in

+Emily Nicole the one that "just goes straight in" Is also called a bone and you do NOT want that. Why? To try and prevent the bone from slipping out, the barbell has a tiny thick bump on the end that sits on the inside. Pushing this part in and out of the piercing is distressing on the area. If the piercing is 1.2 mm wide, you don't shove something that's bigger than that through it. You risk getting horrible scarring bumps that won't go away.
The hardest one is a corkscrew one and she got an l so it's not shitty! L is usually what you get when you first get a nose ring

Just got mine done! If you are thinking about it then just do it. Where I went the cleaned the outside and inside of my nose three times each with two different cleaners. They also cleaned it twice after, the guy was so nice. It hurts but it is so worth it

The stud will be a 0.8mm which is standard size, however you can get 1.0mm and 1.2mm nose piercings depending on what you want. To me in the video it looked 0.8mm
