Great stuff Andrew. On your Datron. Many times the relay contacts get dirty or worn so a good cleaning will take care of the problems. If they are of the plug in variety a cleaning of the sockets is always good. The Tek 465B is a great piece of gear and a real work horse. You just can't kill them. Looking forward to see more of these pieces. ATB Doug.

Nice, thanks Andrew. I'm told that the Datron may also be suffering from bad tantalums, too, but it looks very promising.

I have the same Datron meter, Andrew. Never seen a manual come up on Ebay, but other Datron meter modles' manuals do. I'm pretty certain that there is an online manual available but you will have to search far and wide for it.

Wow you have some smashing toys... err professional test gear there he he :-D
I imagine the datron could also be suffering from mucky relays or pcb interconnects perhaps.
Nice bench meter for next to nothing, what a prize :-D
    Lots of projects there :-D.

Hi, just watched one of your videos on a Grundig yacht boy radio which i own one. i own a few 1970s radios and TVs all working but have some faults. I'm looking to have someone go over them to fix them but i wanted to ask is there a chance you can take a look at them. i can get them to you no fuss. there used to be an old boy who would repair my old gear when needed but he passed away five years ago. obviously id pay for your labour and cost.

Hi Tom, Sorry I don't repair other peoples radios. It's a hobby for me unrelated to my day job. One big stalling point is availability of parts.
