thanks for the tutorial, i replaced my button after the lamp went bad, i followed the instructions you gave, I had the exact same problem with the huge plastic thing at the end there. I first tried what the comments suggested about using thin metal plates to move the clips but that is simply not possible on this type of make and model, if someone says it is possible show us proof or shut it. I did the job only using my hands and a screw driver
I did it today using the thin piece of metal technique. Holy fuck was it a pain in the ass.
You have to wiggle the metal a lot to get under the clips on the left and right, and if you go too far down on the left you can cut the wires.
It ended up taking me 40 minutes because getting the two side clips took like 20 minutes each. The other commenters didn't mention it but you need 3 metal shims, one blocking each clip before you're able to open it up.
You also have to make sure to feed the wires into the plastic guide before putting the switch down again otherwise they can get stuck in the way.
If the switch comes out from the top why did you remove all the centre console, surely the switch would have just pulled out of its housing with the plug attached.

I v práci na vrátnici jsem ptal😅 dnes jsem ztratil další. Pochopil jsem, že mam v autě černou díru a kam se teda vypařili... návod super ale asi si netroufam na to👌😁

Na to treba takú kocku "radar" v strede predného grilu. No a ja ju nemám. Tak to nemám jak nakodovat

I had the same problem, but there was neither a light nor a display error. He just didn’t want to go down and turn it on all the time. Then I pressed the park hold button a couple of times and pulled the parking brake button back and down, drove one lap and then somehow everything was in place again.

No Tiguan is a lot easier, pull up to selector surround and there are t-25s at the top take those out and Then you can pull the trim up, be careful because all the push to start start stop function and mode selection switches are all on the same panel so make sure you unplug them, there are three clips that hold the park brake button in push them out then put the park brake button out from underneath.

Mate, on my WV mark 7 I have a problem with autohold sistem. automatic hand brake work propertly but autohold doesnt work.

@@joaopaulocunha7177 hi mate, for the auto hold to work the seatbelt must be on, then when you hold brake pedal to come to a stop when you release a green parking brake icon should appear when stopped

Myslím že si Slovák alebo Čech tak sa ťa chcem opýtať či pri výmene airbagu treba odpojiť autobateriu s mínusu. Ďakujem
pre istotu sa má odpojiť. a potom treba pred pripojením batérie speť dať klúčik do prvej polohy, vystúpiť z auta a pripojiť mínus speť. aby prípadný výbuch airbagu nikoho nezasiahol. taká je teória.
Ďakujem za info. Pýtam sa preto lebo vás som to nevidel urobiť. Chcem si vymeniť volant v 1,2 tsi za gti volant. je tam iný kryt airbagu. Dúfam že to bude pasovať. Ja som z Velkého Krtíša. Nie ste z blízkeho okolia aby som sa mohol s vami poradiť. Som amatér.
