In this episode:
This week, a five year old poacher case comes to a close and a grizzly bear has wardens on full alert. Then, wardens converge on Helena for their annual convention where they have a little fun.
When your job is protecting our most precious natural resources in some of the nation’s most remote areas, there is rarely a dull moment. Wardens chronicles the lives of Conservation Officers in America. The show features the men and women who protect public lands, from ride-alongs on interstate game checks, to anti-poaching sting operations; from remote snowmobile trails in grizzly bear country, to unforgiving white-water rapids. While the focus of Wardens is enforcement of regulations, the show takes special precautions to ensure the general public understand those who would violate the rules are the minority and the vast majority of encounters with our Wardens are law-abiding citizens.

Hasn’t bought a license in 37 years. Lifetime suspension means absolutely nothing to him.
WTF they spent 3 years going after the 2 poachers and they "could" do total of 10 years and 100k in fines and the judge hands down ZERO years and 20k in fines!
I'm guessing that the Montana officers spent WAY more than $9K and $11K on the investigation. So, after 35 years of never obtaining a hunting licenses and all of his actions he doesn't get jail time.. And only 20% of the max fine.. What's up with this?????

Agreed, it’s an absolute disgrace and now just promotes poaching for any greaseball following this knowing the penalties are pathetic
plus the cost of having what 4 wardens just sit in court for nothing but wasting taxpayers' money is just. Shaking my head on the justice system is a joke anyway. Rich people go to court poor people go to jail.

People here ranting about tyrants hassling the little people need to grow up. This is how wildlife is managed and if you can't understand that, don't hunt. It's that simple. People hunting/fishing without a license SHOULD face penalties. Sorry not sorry. Follow the law.
Interesting that they chose to merely relocate that bear that became habituated to attacking farm animals. Hope we don't hear about a farmer killed by that bear in the future.

Poaching is wrong no matter how it’s looked at but if I was a warden and caught someone poaching and I knew for a fact that their family was going around hungry I don’t think I could do anything about the poaching. If it’s to feed a family I don’t see anything wrong with getting an animal to eat.

Does those people who loose their hunting privileges for life who were already hunting illegally really care? They weren't suppose to be hunting without a license to begin with. IDK its an issue and I dont have any idea on how to fix it but that does seem goofy in a way to make sure they cant legally hunt when they were not to begin with.
Also I love Bryan! Great guy it seems! The Kuka warden. I feel bad about her still when she was hoping someone would do something wrong so she could get them. I personally hope everyone is good. I cant believe they let that go on video honestly. I dont like her.

Constantly being interrupted and harassed by authorities, the stress of ensuring you have every little bit of paper on you at all times that they could ask for, knowing if you don’t have it, say it gets lost or damaged while out you may go to jail. Having the authorities always spying on you from the bushes, Yeah great way to live.

What if they move to another state? Hunting with a light at night or from a road ain’t hunting. It just proves they can’t hunt like a real hunter 😂
Some folks hunt for sport, and some of us hunt to eat. Humans became humans by doing what ever it takes to get a meal. If your hunting because you enjoy the sport good for you, but if I spill a little corn or apples in the woods, well then I’m getting an upper hand and won’t be hungry. Lots of times hunters that get in trouble is because Uncle Sam didn’t get what Uncle Sam wants and that is money and wards of the state. Everyone isn’t a criminal and not everyone should be treated as one.

No. We practice conservation. Which means we are pretty particular about what kind of game you hunt depending on where you are.
I can’t tell if you are being genuine or not Stacey 3063, but if you are, do a search for North American Conservation Model. Our hunting and fishing is heavily regulated
same reason everyone drives a car but still needs a licence.

What a joke. The guy never bought a licence and all that happens is that he cant ever buy one in the future. The money the state spent over 3 years gattering information and going to court would be over 100.000 with all the man hours, and they get 21.000 in return and these guys dont even get one day jail time. Both should of got the 5 years in jail and no early release.

I will never understand why people fish and hunt without getting a license. It's so easy to get one, especially with today's technology! Poachers make me sick, if you can't take the game fairly you are a very poor excuse of a man!!

Glad to see the judge take all hunting, trapping and fishing privileges away ... for life !!! @21.42 and another one @25.49, sad because the man is in his twenties to some these may seem like mild sentences but any outdoorsman or woman will confirm that it is a stiff sentence coupled with the monetary fine and ... forfeiture of fireams. well deserved too. One shouldn't lose sight that poachers are criminals and their acts affect all law abiding licensees as well as the ecology of the extensive areas they roam and violate.

FISHING LICENSE TICKETS AT $139 SHOULD BE AN AUTOMATIC FISHING LICENSE GIVEN FOR THAT INDIVIDUAL WHEN TICKET GIVEN AND PAID! AT LEAST FOR A GIVEN AMOUNT OF TIME . ESP SINCE PEOPLE PAY THOSE TICKETS SAME DAY MOSTLY OR IF THEY DO THEY GET A LICENSE THAT DAY

I know kids under the age of 16 are illegally poaching snpping Turtles and foxes -they shoot their guns near my house I have called the sheriff and they said that they cam do it it's thier land -but it's too close to my house ! What do I do ?

Montana is overrun with deer. My sister in Missoula has several deer in her yard regularly and deer are hit weekly in the area. They are horrible pests when unafraid of people

Warden Berg hassles a guy and his gal with a single pole while floating the river. They probably took a 7 inch trout, or two. This makes less fisherman and less recreation in Mt.
Stacey accepted it like a grown up. We need more people like Stacey….
