  • Wardens - Season 5, Episode 9 & 10: Above and Beyond & Thrill Kill
Watch the next episode of 'Wardens' here: • Wardens: Invasive Spec...
    In this episode:
Wardens often go the extra mile to investigate a report of illegal activity, help a hunter or protect landowner rights. This week Wardens go that extra mile with an unexpected outcome and In 2012, the small community of Whitefish, Montana was shocked by the useless killing of over 20 deer. Region 1 Wardens think outside the box to put a stop to this heinous crime.
When your job is protecting our most precious natural resources in some of the nation’s most remote areas, there is rarely a dull moment. Wardens chronicles the lives of Conservation Officers in America. The show features the men and women who protect public lands, from ride-alongs on interstate game checks, to anti-poaching sting operations; from remote snowmobile trails in grizzly bear country, to unforgiving white-water rapids. While the focus of Wardens is enforcement of regulations, the show takes special precautions to ensure the general public understand those who would violate the rules are the minority and the vast majority of encounters with our Wardens are law-abiding citizens.

That second episode got me. I get they are young men but wtf. They mow down all the good bucks in an area, leave them to rot and can hunt again in 2-5 years?!? Those folks should be revolked for 10 years minimum and I'd like to see 20 years. They will likely be violating again with that little of repercussions.

On one hand I am a little surprised that one of the guys lost hunting and fishing privileges for 40 years while the other guys lost theirs for 4 or 5 years. But on the other hand I was a bit surprised there was not some jail time for them. This seemed like more than just ordinary poaching. This was a thrill kill.

😢 Thrill Kill (s5e9), I'm looking at these beautiful bucks killed in vain and asking "why?" To kill a buck for no other reason than to exercise one's dominance over another animal is sickening.
Bucks are already hard enough to find when people hunt them legally, let alone the rampant amount of poachers, road kill and a**holes like the person/people doing this 'thrill killing stuff. It's disheartening and maddening. Not only are they partaking blatantly in illegal activities, but they just leave the animal to rot - I would at least have a tiny bit more respect for them if they were poaching it for meat and trophies. This is just utter nonsense
