Elephants are such intelligent creatures, it is criminal to treat them badly. I pray they are treated with the utmost care. How could you not fall in love with them? And for the lady at the end who gave Chris the broom saying she just wanted to see him take off his shirt - I heartily agree! I may be 61 but I'm not dead yet LOL! God Bless all!

@@strjourneys7919There are no criminal laws in Thailand prohibiting cruelty to elephants, if they’re in captivity. It’s still evil to treat intelligent creatures with cruelty, even if it’s not legally a crime.

It is so sad to see this beautiful animal and others treated in such an unkind way by previous owners. I so admire the people that do what they can to help and protect them. Elephants are the most beautiful animals and they are such family oriented animals. So thankful to the Dutch man (missed his name), and all the volunteers, for all that they do for these Creatures. There aren't many places on earth that humans haven't touched and in the end ruined. And sadly animals suffer the most for it.
So true.but I'm happy so that still seem to care are taking steps to make sure what little is left untouched stays that way. But the human race needs to find a way to fix what they already ruined. Or our world would be like the beginning of the movie WALL-E.

Prayers are going up for this rescue gets the recovery grow and get the help for all these beautiful animals. I Love Elephants don't know how someone can treat one of God Creation and treat them bad. God Bless this rescue recovery for them to be treated.
Because people are greedy and don't care for something they find inferior. If it can make the government and country money then who cares about an animals comfort. Same reason why lions,elephants and rhinos are being hunted despite it being technically illegal but law can't or won't bother stoping it.People should be mostly done with using animals for most things. It should be obvious to tourists. that they are not treated well but still want to gloat that they got to ride an elephant on vacay.
These animals are Royalty, how dare they be treated as anything but. Thankful for those rescuing.

The way they treat elephants in Thailand, and other countries, it's just heart breaking. We humans are the worst creatures on this planet.

Poor babies. Elephants 🐘 are glorious in Asia & Africa. Mis used and abused. If only we could get humans to respect all animals. I worry the ones on the road could get hurt by the cars or humans due to them inadvertently hurting someone.

Well that elephant got a good introduction to Chris and the team. It hurt some but they washed her, gave her medication to help her feel better and gave her food.

In the Appalachia area here in the US we were taught not to feed the bears because of the same behavior these elephants show. It's sad to see that these animals are now in danger and are a danger to humans and others because of the choices of a few.

Many people don't know any better. This is how generations have done training, so I should do it this way too.
I can never pass up one of these videos without wishing this guy could get cast for a Green Lantern movie.
During a hospital stay a couple of years ago one of my nurses was planning a trip to volunteer at a rescue in Thailand for her two week vacations. I think her human nursing skills would be valuable there, even without vet experience.
You doctor are a handsome human and your colleagues brave people, Humanity deserves its share of pain too for what it is doing to this planet, not only to animals: Ask The Gods.

If people didn't feed the elephants in the wild and near the highway then the elephants would probably leave. They know there's food so they don't have to fend for themselves. They are depending on those handouts and that's why they are there. No food no elephants. So it will be safer for the people and especially the elephants. God bless.
