But sometimes I genuinely get sad because I know it will probably never happen. If I ever get to move to LA like I’ve dreamed of, I know for a fact that this is the genre of music I will listen to the entire way there.
I became a big fan of the Chillwave scene over the last coupla months, and this compo here is a beautiful stunner. "Hello Colossus" is one of the best tings to captivate my imagination lately- the deep dreamy bass and synths melting into that main motif that arrests you from the lush beginnings. Followed up by the huge rush of synths swirling and swelling behind the emotive drive and beats to "Strange Encounters" The whole 40 mins here is amazing. And the accompanying video is fantastic. I love calming down, zoning out, looking back to chillwave videos like this at night. Delighted to have happened upon this compo this week- thanks. Emotive, reflective Chillwave, along with the new Tool album have been my go- to staples in music lately.
The more I listen to this type of music, the more I like it. It's good for studying/working while still being something I'll put on when driving around or hanging out on my patio. Can't say the same for a lot of the other study/work music I listen to.
Euphoric Eugene is responsible for making much of my adulthood what it is, I used to wake almost everyday at 6 before class and turn on one of these mixes and listen to it while I got ready, when I was done of course, I'd take my phone with me and play it over the speakers in my car

You know back in the day, when the air was quite a bit more polluted than now, we would get sunsets like that in South Jersey sometimes. It was really neat. Not as vibrant but still purple tinged and very surreal. I miss cool sunsets. Nowadays its not as dramatic. Great mix Euphoric Eugene. I will take chillwave/Retrowave any day.
