Very nice 'ops'. I really like how your layout looks without the backdrops. Even thou there is none in a scene, there's always something nice in the back to fill the view. Great job.
Thanks Rick! I've been on the fence about backdrops for a while now. I like being able to look across the layout and see it as a whole with no obstructions. That being said, I really dig your backdrops, those hills are beautiful. Take care - Bill.
Thanks for taking us along, Bill! Your layout is looking so nice! I love too how you have it spanning across the two rooms. That’s such a fun way to use the space!! And you’re not kidding about the Himrod yard being in a remote location. It’s in the middle of nowhere!!
Thanks Seth! I think the layout is just the right size for me. Big enough so there's always something I can do. But small enough so I can go around and super-detail scenes. Thanks for commenting buddy!
@@MyFingerLakesRailwayLayout You really did find that sweet spot! Thanks again for sharing! I sold a 3D printer on Facebook Marketplace today and the gentleman that bought it was an engineer for NS. He left the railroad years ago, but said that still keeps his license by volunteering for the FGLK. I wish I could've chatted with him longer!
Very nice laid-back op! This is what my wife would call "playing with trains" and it is what I hope to be doing soon on my own layout! Just found your channel and I love the look, hoping to learn some tips and techniques along the way! Thank you for sharing!
If you're moving a car from one spot to another, you're doing operations. Then again, some guys like to watch the trains run by. Nothing wrong with that. Thanks Pappy!
We do what you do and keep it fun! I doubt we will ever get into using cards or software. My son and I just like to run trains and have fun and will often come up with an industry servicing plan.

Sounds good to me Bill. Cheers ~ Boomer.😁👍
Thanks Boomer, I always appreciate your comments.

Darren 👋
Aye mate, steady as she goes!
Nice ops session, I'm not on RUclips myself but I enjoy watching others as much as I like running my own.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
Another enjoyable video Bill. Thanks!
Thanks Paul, I'm enjoying your content too. Take care - Bill.
I think an operating gate and flashing crossbucks right where you have that protothrottle would be ideal!!
I meant a chain link fence gate LOL. I don't really wanna fiddle with servo motors and cross arms. Too fiddly!
Oooh. Yeah the track gates add another element of op’s realism. I’m not a fan of servos either
Waiting for your next post!!

Thanks Michael! Nothing wrong with playing with trains! Have fun - Bill.
Don't do operations yet, but I have done one on another's layout, they used car cards. Layout looks mighty fine Bill
