A good hint is to put your parking brake on while you do the change! I found a lot of my force trying to pull the assembly out ended up moving the car instead, so stopping the car from moving helped me use more force on pulling out the piece!
May have been from the hot climate or my impatience but be careful doing this. Got my taillight out but the few smacks sheared the mounting bracket from the taillight assembly. Was able to friction fit the light back in just with the one pin while I wait on a replacement panel.

Getting the bulb out is the hard part for me
Smacked that damn thing like 30 times and the damn thing still won’t budge
i got mine loose by smacking it with the rubber sole of my shoe.
So apparently I did do this right.... My stop/tail lights don't have enough give on the wires to be pulled out like that tho 😒🤬
iCantLogOut should be a plug to disconnect them
