FINALLY AFTER 2 years i got it its not perfect yet but i can get around 3-4 times without touching the floor GUYS JUST KEEP DOING IT IT WILL COME EVENTUALLY
FlipClips my friend watched this video and he can do 6 flares now...in only 2 months but he followed his soft first steps a lot...each step 100 to 400 times a day...nothing is impossible if you never give up...the best thing in all this is that my friend is 38 years old he started breaking in his 37 birthday and he do a very good windmill and good flares..
wow really? I used to breakdance when I was 19. Now I am 28 and I was wondering if its still possible for me to start doing it again. And you are saying your friend started Bboying at 37?? wow.
Awesome tutorial! I've always been amazed by dancers who can do flares, but I never thought I could learn how to do them myself. This five-minute video broke down the steps in a way that was easy to understand and follow, even for a beginner like me. The slow-motion footage and clear explanations really helped me to visualize the movements and get the technique right. I also appreciate that the instructor emphasized the importance of warming up and practicing consistently, as it's easy to get discouraged when learning new skills. Overall, this was a fantastic tutorial that gave me the confidence to try out flares for myself. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills with us!
Lol, I don't think he means you'll LITERALLY learn how to do it in 5 minutes guys, just gives you a better understanding on how to do the move/motion. Great tutorial, thanks!
I feel like this took us way longer than 5 minutes back in the day lol. I've never seen your tutorials though, incredibly dope stuff! hope you're still breakin
Κωνσταντινος Τσαγκαλιδης thanks I thought I didn't have the proper arm length. now I will keep practicing. I think the flare is the ultimate "power" move, with the windmill coming in a close second.
I was watching your recent flare tutorial and I cannot do it. Good thing you uploaded another tutorial doing the flare. Keep up the goodwork pigmie! 💪🏻👈🏻😁
i finally got them after 5 months of training every day, progression on my channel! Remember to keep going, dont look at comments like 'oh i got them in 2 weeks' because they talking shit, that isnt possible in 2 weeks if u want them like pigmie for example. It took Pigmie also something like 2 years to do them clean so stay focused.
I really like ur vids but for the people here who might try this: flare is not a move you can learn in 5 minutes to be honest.. you might be able to do one flare in the first days if you have that body strength already but that's not your goal to learn how to do just 1 flare.. if you really want to master that move you gotta focus over months.. not that easy if you are just starting, just saying, peace!
Looks at the beginning of the video, looks at this post, looks back at the video, looks back at this post, You weren't paying attention were you ^^. He said this was assuming you're already fit and flexible yadiyada. Obviously you can't do this if you're a stiff board that can't even lift yourself. Just remember one thing, you gotta focus... on the video xD
no way can you learn it in 5 mins well maybe the sweep..and i cant stress that enough. 1 flare could take a week maybe more and continues flares take time!! heck it took me like 6 years and im still struggling on this fucking move. anyone saying they got it in a day is talking shit.
Hey Pigmie, I've been practicing flares for about a year now and I've been able to nail around 3-4 of them consistently with decent form (straight legs, high back, pretty fast). However, I think I pulled the left side of my groin, similar to what you had trying them. It hurts when I walk or put pressure pertaining to the left side of my leg. I'm wondering how long should it take for this injury to fully recover. And, will I lose a little bit of my flares before the time I recover? This injury occurred a few hours ago. (Also, been watching your videos since 2013, thanks).
Your in a tight spot man, depends really(about 3 or so months) you need to stretch before doing something like the flare. Ice and light stretches will help
It took me a year to learn windmill. flares 4 months...I think it is all about speed. For recovery, just stop practicing. When you resume after recovery it will not be difficult to start again as brain is wired to do it.
I injured my tailbone few days ago and it hurts whenever I bend down but I really wanna try and learn some moves for my class graduation party (my class is having a dance battle XD)
You could jump vertically up a 2 storey building, triple backflip flat on top and then 360 backflip, flare, corkscrew off the side. BUT you got to focus.
leg is bent. nope. most important in flares is keeping legs flexed and motion of hips. and rotation trajectory must be wide enough and tilted otherwise you end up too low when passing the other leg underneath and have to compensate with bent leg :)
aww thanks for this. Helped me notice that my hips have been dropping down when I go to the back. Prlly cause Im so used to having my hips lower when doing footwork.
I love you it And also I actually learned it so thank you. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🤜🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👎🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

im just here to learn this flare to do a flare push up (its not something that exist i think but i saw someone doing it as a challenge and it was really cool looking push up and flare at same time, he also did a air flare push up but that will be for later first the regualar flare ;)
guys this is me before i can do it,i cant do it,the only thing i maybe can do is the both hands on the ground front and back,i hope i can do it,it seems fun and im imaging that i randomly be standing then being able to flare.i hope i can learn to do it dancing was never my thing, but i want this one called "flare".
im gonna have to try next morning because i tried doing this in living room because my room doesnt have enough space and my dad was just looking at me like wtf you doing 😂
Is there a reason why he bends his left leg so much when it's going under him compared to his right leg which stays relatively straight? Maybe he's left-handed so when he's using his right arm and kicking the left leg it's not as strong so he can't get quite as high and needs the bend to not hit the floor easier? 4:214:24
He is not left handed He is a right handed person but does some things left handed and some right handed but he is a right handed person. He spins towards his left shoudler when doing 360s. So he is a right handed person he even said that in his round off backflip inside the house video.
FINALLY AFTER 2 years i got it
its not perfect yet but i can get around 3-4 times without touching the floor
GUYS JUST KEEP DOING IT IT WILL COME EVENTUALLY

you didn't focus then
It was more like 30 minutes for me.
Yeah actually literally 5 minute video. Or literally "fye minutes" if you only literally listen to the video and don't literally look at the time bar.

Are flares possible if you have short arms?
yes trust me i know ;)
Κωνσταντινος Τσαγκαλιδης thank you. My butt always hits the floor so I thought my arms were too short. How long did it take you to learn?
2 months with 1 hour of practise 3 days in a week. Dont get discouraged it will take a lot of time
Κωνσταντινος Τσαγκαλιδης thanks I thought I didn't have the proper arm length. now I will keep practicing. I think the flare is the ultimate "power" move, with the windmill coming in a close second.
How short????
The flare has always been the COOLEST looking move to me.
I am very unpopular in school and I am learning new dance moves to make me feel better about myself 😂😂💀💀
Napolean Dynamite?
Whoah cool. That’s cool. You will probably the coolest kid once you can do this. Nothing cooler than the breakdance kid in high school

thankyou for this tutorial i will dedicate 30days doing this everyday to master it😎🙏
Not sure if there's even anyone to answer my question but what muscle groups do i need to strengthen to be able to do this?
You would overall need to work each muscle group as this move is very taxing physiologically, but very important for triceps and shoulders to be strengthened. Lower body wise, quads are good to work also.
Since this is only a bodyweight move, its smart to also lose weight so your arms are not under as much stress and can get away with less muscular power present in general

Is there a reason why he bends his left leg so much when it's going under him compared to his right leg which stays relatively straight?
Maybe he's left-handed so when he's using his right arm and kicking the left leg it's not as strong so he can't get quite as high and needs the bend to not hit the floor easier?
4:21 4:24
He is not left handed He is a right handed person but does some things left handed and some right handed but he is a right handed person. He spins towards his left shoudler when doing 360s. So he is a right handed person he even said that in his round off backflip inside the house video.
