Pigmie out here giving you the recipe for success and some of yall still sleepin: stay humble, put in the time, look at the big picture, and FOCUS. I see a lot of cats who want to be successful talk about "rise & grind," this that the other thing, but they just talk. They don't live it. They don't do the work behind the scenes. They want to be successful in terms of "I want everybody to think I'm fly" and that's the fakest, most empty kind of shit you can aspire to achieve. Most folks would delete their old footage, cut a highlight reel of their best moments, and pretend they were always this good, but Pigmie makes himself better, faster, stronger, cleaner because he LEARNS from those mistakes, and he gives it away for free. Some of you asking for the "easiest way to learn _______" and you watch a video of Pigmie spending hours or days or weeks or months drilling again and again and again until he nails something. You're watching him do it looking for "the lesson" and you're missing THE LESSON.
Honestly, I'm a beginner trying to bboy, but I can definitely verify that this is extremely true. I asked my brothers for ways that I might get things faster. In the end, it took hard work. Nothing else. Maybe a few, "Hey don't do that, the form is wrong" here and there, but hard work has, and will, pave the way for me
I really appreciate this video. I remember in 2013 I used to ask you for tips and you'd always help me out. So because of you i'm still bboying now. Your progression is indeed a nice one!
You have come along way on your journey and have filmed your progression to the professional your are today I think you deserve all the prays you get you didn't get involved in drugs or the gang lifestyle many fall victim to which shows the type of focus you had which has to be applauded you are a great role model for the younger generation and hope it may long continue into the future peace and love to you Lucas from the UK🇬🇧👍👍👍
Bro that was amazing love the transparency...refreshing and also hella funny lol I'm just starting to learn breaking also pretty self taught so it's encouraging to watch someone else's journey
Don't be so hard on yourself, your progress back then was great. My toprock got better when I started to feel the rhythm, it's like diving into the music, but training in a gym with a walls covered by mirrors helped me a lot, too.
You are an awesome dancer bro. That fact that you can laugh at yourself at times, makes you an amazing person. Love the narration buddy, looking forward to the next videos
You learn as you go along and get stronger everyday you have come along way don't be down on your self you had a dream and you fulfilled it by never giving up you are an inspiration to everyone 👍
Thanks for this video... been doing callisthenics to help us in strength, handstand etc... just started taking dancing more seriously and started callisthenics 8 months ago. Getting a little frustrated but, watching has let me appreciate patience again
Omg so many memories prefected at 2012 from 2010 the only best tutorial in video omg those days i watch over and over and over on your video thanks great memories
Highly entertaining, as well as encouraging and inspiring. I see a lot of myself in those early top rock moves. Sometimes you just have to decide that you don't care how gumpy it looks and just have fun. Thanks for sharing this.
Just like what Bruce Lee said, keep practicing and when you get it, still keep practicing. Try working on Pop-Locking and Slide-Gliding to work on your flow. And it probably would make your transitions from move to move more fluent. Not to mention it makes the power moves just pop. Still I have mad respect for what you are doing. Go old school and don’t forget the roots of the B-Boy.
Tip for your 1 handed air flair, check the momentum. Less momentum, more shoulder strength. You got to deep power it, and not at all rely on speed of your looping legs to get you into the catch on the landing. You basically want to do the air flair, as slowly as possible. Hand hops in place would help tremendously.
Some how I ran into your videos. Great tutorials especially the flairs tutorial. Year 2011, your flairs were the bomb! The battle at the end was hilarious on how you commented on yourself. Kinda got a Hong 10 top rock going. Honestly your a power move guy. Should do more of a power move top rock so your opponent gets intimidated(Kind of like charging up to go Super Saiyan hehe). Then add some of your current top rock to mix it up here in there. Then you'll look dope. Your dad is sweet! Keep it up.
On your twisting on trampoline, if you wait and go up before you twist you can trip full for sure. On your Cody’s, land farther back on the trampoline and keep your chest up. On your kabooms, go near the back of the trampoline close to the springs and land flatter.
you motivated me to start learning backflips today and well i did it with a spotter but hey the fear is gone and i can jump backwards myself and land on.. my knees.. but now i just need to improve, fear is gone, everything great! all my muscles hurt though, i feel pretty fucked ^^ also nice video, great progression ^^
Wait, did you learn headspin, windmill and flare in a year? I really envy you T_T I started bboying in 2012. I was 16, and yada yada, I was afraid to injure myself but I believe I had more power back then and was surrounded by amazing people who motivated me to learn. However, in 2016 I injured my back really bad from learning a backflip. I quitted right after. Took me 4 years to overcome my fear and learning it all over again is much harder than I thought it would be. Is it because age? Or is it because my muscle shrunk from not practicing for 4 years? I don't know. I used to watch your tutorial a lot and just started to watch it again. This one motivates me and I can't wait to practice tomorrow.
I have injured my back many times slipped discs and all the good stuff, My whole body was so strong at the time being a British champion in gymnastics- I kept training and training as soon as i stopped my whole life changed taking all my strength to just get out of bed couldnt turn my head at all and was stuck in nothingness. I took like 8 years doing nothing apart from being in pain, one day i just thought f it got my enjoyment back started training and with in 6 months was better then ever doing all the crazy stuff i was once doing before! Time to heal with no goals lit a fire up my ass like never before. I also learnt to windmill in 1 hour of trying very happy with myself. Thanks for your story was a great read and hope your crushing your enjoyment and reaching all new levels weekly!
omg i fucking lost it at top rocking lmaooooooooooooooo goood narrating.. u were actually good for those times doing airtracks pretty fast...took me over a year to get air flares
It's like you are serious, intense, and focused on the power moves and then you kind of let go and dork out on the other stuff. You are a million times a better breakdancer than I ever was so it is not really my place to say anything. Back in my youth of 1984 I have a record of 3 backspins and if I had RUclips videos back then on how to Moon Walk and Gyro, I think I would have been a little better. You have a lot to be proud of.
Dude... I haven’t watch any of your videos since 2013 because I’ve stop breaking but you were one of my favorite Bboy channels along with Bumz Crew Production. You look like a buffer Andrew Garfield now...
Ettore Pelosato lol bro its mean u didn't watched all videoa let me see i will post link soon the move this guy talked about and i really don't know what ur comment saying similar but not this one he talking abound sleeping 360 degree move it obviously same.
yooo i can relate to what you said about training powermoves. i started again last year and made this goal with a friend to achieve one powermove and since then ive been training 90s all day and took me 8 months to get a neutral form. i know its kinda of no link but yeah i can feel you about training powermoves hahah
Hey pigmie, now I finally know where I knew you from - you are part of the SymphoBreaks video "Awesome Energy" here in youtube :) You are the guy who spins and flares in a christmas costume!! Great career as a Bboy pigmie, respect. Full respect! Like you :)
This same man thought me how to 1) windmills 2) flare.. yes I said it singularly... 3) Front hand stand 4) Front flip 5) webster 6) backhandspring All back in highschool.. I just randomly came upon his account again and I think i'm going to start back!!
'Preddy' Good breaker... Growing up, I learned 'Ol School Style' & was REALLY GOOD at Swipes, Knee Glydes, Windmills, & a lot of "Electric Boogaloo"... These newer moves weren't even thought of... The only Breaker I know of that would have probably been able to learn this quick would be "Flip Rock" of the "New York City Breakers"...
shit man i remember watching your how to head spin video when i was extra young dreaming to break dance. i always felt like i was too weak, totally forgot about it eventually. years later i became obsessed with music instrumentals and began playing guitar, making music videos that go with music, later i started working out. Recently something got me back into bboy and i realize i have the strength and feel for music to do it. then i see this video and im like "Wait is that that guy?"...its like im back at square one but im ready this time. wish me luck!
Powermoves were my weakest element. You do great with it. You looked like you were gonna break your arm attempting the 1 hand airflare. Looked like it hurt.
really enjoyed getting to know more about you, especially those ''cringy'' parts, those are the best
For real. It's cringe but lets be honest we all did shit like that as a kid lmao. He just has the balls to record it and show it.
Yesss
How did that mirror survive!!??

Damn I can't believe the living room mirror survived the entire time
That, in fact, was a very entertaining timeline. All it really takes is discipline and focus to keep on grinding. You’ve got that.
2:15 Those flares might be amongst the cleanest I've seen!
Thank you for being so honest to everyone about yourself. It so rare. Respect and love from Serbia.

You ever get into floats? Crickets, jackhammers, Ufo's, 90's those sorta things. You would be really good at those since you're a bodyweight beast
This is my first video of yours but you seem to have documented everything so well. Seeing the progression helps put everything into perspective.
