Your fruit salad looks great! Great job on that 😊 If I may also suggest, you can also put corn kernels (you can buy them canned) and also cheese (cut them in small chunks/blocks). Lumpiang Shanghai and chicken macaroni salad and the tender juicy hotdog in a skewer with mallows completes my favorite food in every "handaan" (dinner feast/party). especially during Noche Buena. Merry Christmas! That suman is not the typical suman that Filipinos usually eat, in our house we usually eat "suman sa lihiya" wrapped in banana leaf shaped like a pyramid.

The suman you ate is called muron in our local dialect which is made of pounded glutinous rice and cocoa. The typical suman is made of glutinous rice cooked in gata or coconut milk then wrapped in banana leaves and steam.

I’m impressed! My favs are special tikoy and broas from Lucban, Quezon province. I gotta have the authentic bibingka made out of rice flour with young coconut inside. Also 💙 Cassava suman…deliciousness!
Freeze the fruit salad and you get fruit salad ice cream Bibingka is two things. Normal bibingka looks like a pancake but is roasted on coals. bibingkang-kanin is what you just ate. White ricecake with coconut caramel on top. Add seasoned boiled chicken (then cut into chucks or shredded) in the macaroni salad and it will taste even better

Try the leche flan at Max's-it's silky smooth like creme brulee without the crunch. And my favorite food for Christmas is CRISPY PATA (deep fried crackly pork hock)
I suggest that you also put cream of corn and not just kernels in maja to make it taste a lot better. Also, use evaporated filled milk,not evaporated creamer. Big difference in taste.
Another variation on the Tropical Fruit Salad is (1) fresh coconut strips to make it Buko Salad; (2) thinly sliced uncooked cabbage leaves and grated raw carrots to make a Tropical Coleslaw Fruit Salad. In Salad #2, you can also add raisins, sweet pickle relish, and some pepper to make it zing. For #1 and #2, you can use a 1:1:1 ratio of All-Purpose Cream, Condensed Milk, and Best Foods Salad and Sandwich Mate (better than Lady's Choice).
For suman if what you have is not sweet, you can deep it on sugar to have a sweeter taste. For macaroni salad, the preparation is different from fuit salad because it has mayonnaise and just a little bit of condensed milk and it is not saucy unlike fruit salad. The fruit salad is sweeter and has more sauce.
I admire your effort in making macaroni salad and Maja Blanca. It's not just cooking information but it is good to cook and made it by your own way but it turn looks yummy. Suman in tinambiran version is common delicacy eaten by many Filipinos. Lechon manok is common in every Filipino table during Christmas 😊

The key word is noche buena. Noche buena food is Christmas ham, queso de bola, spaghetti, pancit bihon, fruit salad, barbecue, menudo, etc.
