    Dentsu is the most HATED company in Japan for what they did to Mikiko mizuno and her team when it came down to planning the olympic ceremonies for Tokyo Olympics

      I hate them for being a black company that literally overworked Matsuri Takahashi to the point of suicide.

    This channel really does a great job of shedding light to how dystopian Japan actually is.

      Japan is a wonderful country in many ways, but like some other paradisical places, has a dark side.

      @@emptytune japan is not paradisiacal place ,all you do is work all the time for a boss who is a despot and a nepotist. Japan is first world slaver country,they make cool media and devices ,thats for sure.

      @@feelthepony They work less hours than Americans on average. Every other nation compared to Japan is a third world nation. It doesn't have to be that way but thats how the world is shaping up with constant riots. You think oligarchs are bad in Japan? Wait until you research western oligarchs, the real ones not jeff bezos.

    Er .. So is Dentsu a "SRE" (State Run Enterprise), a "SOE" (State Owned Enterprise) or just "The State"? 🤗
    Great show guys .. Thanks for bringing David back to talk about some of Japan's intrigue and intriguing history. 👏🏼

    A bit melodramatic, a tad overly twitchy with the innuendo, but entertaining. David knows his stuff re communications and messaging. I had a daughter who worked for Dentsu when she first graduated from university and ran some businesses that used Dentsu as our advertising agency so have more than a passing familiarity with them and the service levels they provide. Had not appreciated the Manchurian Railway connection to Dentsu post war but of course knew about Kishi and his connection to it. Was one reason he was arrested but never indicted in the Tokyo War Crimes trials. The amateur psychologist's perspectives given on why Abe is interested in amending the constitution is tintillating, sitting on his grandfather's knee, is the usual speculative imagery but added nothing new to what the PM is really thinking. Today. I am not at all sure there is such a straight line between Kishi and the Manchurian Railway and what the current PM is thinking or planing to do in the end. That of course is part of the left leaning media and their academic sponsors usual narrative. My guess is as good as theirs but I suspect it is considerably more complex today than we want a real army and want to get rid of Art. 9. Perhaps Abe should retain Dentsu to go fix these mischaracterizations of his intentions? :)

    • @emptytune
      @emptytune 6 лет назад +4

      I think Abe's fundamental motivation is to get people to stop saying nasty things about his grandfather. Full stop. But that's just my personal guess...

    • @edonaito6962
      @edonaito6962 6 лет назад +1

      Interesting perspectives. The left leaning media and academics will never change their narrative. For them it is very important to try and directly link Abe to the horrors of WWII. He looks much more scary that way. Grandfather Kishi happily for them provides that link despite the fact that he was held by US Occupation Forces together with all other individuals who were still alive and who had served in any of the cabinets in the 12 year period prior to August 1945. And importantly, at least for some, he was never indicted much less tried for anything. (Not to say that means he was white as a freshly driven snow. But the subject of who was indicted and tried in the Tokyo War Crimes trails and who was not is a very worthy subject to Tokyo On Fire in the future.) But for the vast majority of Japanese I do not think any one really cares, gives one thought to Kishi even if they know about the relationship to Abe which most people under 35 if not 45 do not.
      I personally do not know what Abe's deepest personal motivations for taking and remaining in what is a pretty thankless role - name one previous PM held in the highest possible esteem by Japanese. Answer, none. Japanese in fact have no real respect for any politician in the past 100 plus years. He just might be trying his very best as he knows it to try and keep Japan safe and improve the quality of life for us Japanese. Stranger things than that have surfaced. :)
