Good morning Jack, that's beautiful, the light around the openings with dark accent. No beauty like natural beauty. ❤❤
That was great. To burn the low areas was genius. The black edges on the voids looks super. Thanks for the idea. I have a few pieces I can try that on. I can't wait.
That was a lovely layout of live edge. That bowl is stunning.
I love rib eye. Cooked to perfection. It's a beauty
😊
You always make STUNNING pieces.
Yew is gorgeous wood. This piece is stunning
I *really* appreciated the synchronized frame rate sections! I've been hoping to see that for some time and I think it's superb. Thank you.
Well done, sir. Very beautiful
As always stunning work ❤
Yo Jack! Stunning skills and beautiful artistry as always! And hey - since you sometimes turn wacky things (like colored pom pons and wine bottles), I have a fun idea for you - if you aren't aware, there is a viral trend on TikTok and other social media where people repair ordinary things (like car bumpers and furniture) with a blend of instant noodles and super glue. 😂 That got me thinking...it would be hilarious to see you embed instant noodles (like Top Ramen, Nissin, Buldak or Nongshim) in acrylic and turn them into a wiggly work of art! 🤣 Just a silly thought! Thanks for another brilliant video!!!
3rd! Do you, Jack, do you. I thought it rocked!
Another beautiful work of art
It looks beautiful and you did an amazing job turning it as well!!!!
I enjoyed your video so I gave it a Thumbs Up
Thanks for producing more art!
Beautiful! Bet your studio smelled lovely.
Beautiful piece of art ❤
Beautiful Jack, beautiful brother
Interesting choices in design. Thanks for sharing.
I'm SOOO glad you left those beautiful spaces! Gorgeous!
Yet another masterpiece Jack. Thanks.
Good job Jack beautifully done
Absolutely in love with this.
Hola Jack, por primera vez me tocó dar el primer like de tus videos. Saludos desde México 🇲🇽
It's gorgeous.
Excellent
How splendid!...made my day...thank you...dgp/uk
SO. BEAUTIFUL 👍👍👍
Just lovely!
Pretty wood. Very unique bowl. Nice job! :)))
Unique and stylish
We just had hurricane come through our area. I would love to figure out how to make something out of some of the trees that we’ve been cutting down and cleaning up. Was just cutting up a beautiful oak tree this morning
¡Impresionante! La precisión y habilidad en este trabajo de torneado es de otro nivel. ¡Cada detalle cuenta!
❤❤ I love the bow jack. It came out perfect although I would’ve loved for you to have left a little more black in those cut outs, but all in all still gorgeous.😊😊😊
Well that's just delicious .
Pretty trippy. They were there…and then…not so much.
A good example of what we learned in school (AofA) was the use of positive and negative space. Here is a good example. They play off of each other to create great beauty.
Thanks 👍
Beautiful, Jack. Some idiots would have filled those gaps with epoxy. Talk about live edges (not rims)!
And I really appreciate the slow-mo cutting. Really shows what's happening.
Some "idiots" would have created something useful.
It’s all about Yew, isn’t it?
👋👍
A beautiful piece, but considering that yew is a cardiotoxic wood, I'd be carefull of dust when turning it..
🎉❤
Looked like the outline boardering state of Wisconsin
Didnt see that coming
Fantastic art piece! Thanks for sharing. What is the tool you used in cutting the inside? esp. the bit?
Nice job! I’m interested in your opinion of the ring tool(Termite Hollower?). I have been wondering how well it works compared to other hollowing tools. I like the way it slices instead of scraping. Is it grabby?
Like all cutting tools it can catch, and it’s obviously not as strong as a gouge.
I think it’s a fantastic tool. If you understand the dynamics of cutting you instantly recognise the advantages this shape has over others. Especially when hollowing end grain vessels.
The one way one used in this video is great and its very small diameter means it’s less grassy than the more common size ones.
I’d say YES get one bit practice with it rotated almost to a scrap where it’s less likely to dig in.
To really refine your skills with any tool practice getting perfect shavings at a very low rpm. If you can do it down in the low revs you can do it in the high ones even better. That is where technique is refined.
👍🏻
Thanks very much for the tips. They make a lot of sense and I think will be very helpful once I get the tool.
I would like to have seen you take off the tenon. Tricky or not?
I am a learner. I am confused about converting the original fascinating shape of wood into this bowl shape with only two remnants of its original shape left. Could it be turned into a shape with maintaining the live edge at least at the brim?
Why not cut it round on the bandsaw first?
........but its broken.......
Everybody’s an art critic 🙄
Sorry don't mean to be a critic of yours cuz you do great work but those burnt edges it does nothing except make them stand out and look unnatural. Sorry I don't understand...
Why why why why why why do you burn those edges that looks horrible leave them natural please oh my God!
🤢
big cahooNas for them Kick Backs. my adrenaline would be too high. Lol
Ok , you can use it to rest youre motorbike helmet on it . 🤣😂🤣😂🤣👎👎👎👎
Really!
