Wow that is really great progress. I have been self studying for 2.5 years or so and i was able to understand most of what you said but i have not had hardly any practice actually speaking. I think that is probably one of the greatest benefits of being in an environment where you are forced to like you did in your class. 頑張って!
HI Bijuu mike!! I also agree Aki's experince being right up front with it definitely gives her an advantage in learning she is also doing it in such a smart manner just by even talking with joey in japanese, but I am sure also for you the more you study too the better you will get to, I believe aki really has found a solid way to learn for her self. Finding your personal studying way on your own is really important.
From my experience with Learning English I fully believe is being thrown into an environment that forces you speak peak the language as well as consuming media and literature to help with context clues.

After starting to study Japanese at uni from scratch in 2018, I think my biggest achievement thus far was being able to comprehend your video without the need for subtitles. Like you I get super nervous about speaking in Japanese purely because I panic about making mistakes, but it's as teachers say: "you need to make the mistakes in order to learn", and honestly you just inspired me to continue trying to face my fears of continuing to try and practice speaking. Hi.:) I've been enjoying your channel for years. But I 've never thought you speak Japanese like this. You are amazing. Since I'm Japanese. Sometimes I want to enjoy your Japanese blog as well. Thank you so much.
Aki, I have been studying Japanese language for 7yrs, I have to say your Japanese is very good for having studied for a short time. I understood everything you said. Japanese is complex and one of the top 10 most difficult languages to learn, so you're doing exceptionally well. I'll be rooting for you to reach your goal of N2, but something tells me you'll blitz it if you keep up the good work! OH and the "ni", "de", "ga" etc particles trip every new learner up - I have Japanese (native speaker) friends who say they still get it wrong at times LOL!
This is making me want to pick up my German again. I took it all of high school, then a few quarters in University, but that was so long ago now and I haven't kept up with my German so I can't really speak it all that well. Maybe that is something I'll pick up again. Thank you for the inspiration Aki!
A bit late to this vid, however, I was surprised at how easy you were to understand overall. Other than a few words I did not know I understood it all. I also understood a lot of what Ken Watanabe said in the Abroad in Japan video. I feel like my Japanese is getting much better too. The problem is getting a chance to converse with other people. Reading and writing are both useful in their own ways but speaking is an entirely different skill set altogether.
It was your last video learning Japanese video that inspired me to finally get into learning the language, I've been practising every day since. I am so pleased that I could understand parts of the video without reading the subtitles! Keep it up Aki! 🇯🇵
This Video is soooo inspiring. I am studying Japanese at University and all what Aki said it's true. It's often embarrassing to to talk in Japanese because you are thinking that you are not good but you need to practice! I hope I can find some Japanese friends to practice with in the future and thank you for that Video !!! I hope you upload maybe some in the future too. 頑張って アキ💪🏻

I'm probably at a N4 level as well, so your video was nice to listen and follow along to. Let's both do our best! (and yes, Japanese is very hard 😅)
I've been wanting to learn Japanese for years. I've tried several times to start learning but I'm too busy most of the time to do the process correctly. Your japanese is amazing for being a beginner by the way. I have heard that Japanese people enjoy helping non native people who are actively making attempts at learning their language and culture. I really wish I could afford to go to Japan for a while to learn as much as I can. But the way of the world and the world in the way and all that happy crappy.. But anyway, I hope you continue to improve your lingual skills. Much love.
Amazing to see how good your Japanese got so quickly. I think it's encouraging for me as I plan to move to Japan this year to take Japanese courses at a language school in July.
I’m blown away by how good your Japanese has gotten in such a short time😭😭👏🏻👏🏻

Japanese is complex and one of the top 10 most difficult languages to learn, so you're doing exceptionally well. I'll be rooting for you to reach your goal of N2, but something tells me you'll blitz it if you keep up the good work! OH and the "ni", "de", "ga" etc particles trip every new learner up - I have Japanese (native speaker) friends who say they still get it wrong at times LOL!
YOUVE GOTTEN SO GOOD so so proud of u aki 👍🏼
This is making me want to pick up my German again. I took it all of high school, then a few quarters in University, but that was so long ago now and I haven't kept up with my German so I can't really speak it all that well. Maybe that is something I'll pick up again. Thank you for the inspiration Aki!
A bit late to this vid, however, I was surprised at how easy you were to understand overall. Other than a few words I did not know I understood it all. I also understood a lot of what Ken Watanabe said in the Abroad in Japan video. I feel like my Japanese is getting much better too. The problem is getting a chance to converse with other people. Reading and writing are both useful in their own ways but speaking is an entirely different skill set altogether.
you are doing great aki! Keep up the good work!!! You never fail to make me smile and laugh❤️
I am so freaking proud of you!!! I remember finding your channel when I was in middle school, and I am sosososo happy to see how far you have come!!!
It was your last video learning Japanese video that inspired me to finally get into learning the language, I've been practising every day since. I am so pleased that I could understand parts of the video without reading the subtitles! Keep it up Aki! 🇯🇵
Yaay well done Aki!! :D This video was super helpful and motivating for other Japanese learners like me. ありがとうございました。
Watching you be so determined and making such good progress is so inspiring. I had a big smile on my face your doing great!!!
アキさんの日本語は聞きやすいで、本当にみじかい間で上手くなった!
Nice job Aki! You go girl!
Wow, Aki your Japanese is super good!!
this is really cool! you can compare like 5 years from now how youre doing and noticed the accent change!
頑張って アキ💪🏻
Totally amazing fun video of you learning speaking Japanese akidearest, fantastic job and you pretty good at it too.
It's so cool to watch your journey with a whole another language that has a totally different structure to English! You're doing really well and I'm happy to see you enjoying speaking in Japanese. I wish you all the best in your learning journey! You got this Aki! And hope for more videos with you speaking Japanese in the future c;
Akiちゃん、日本語の発音が上手!文法もカンペキです😉 I’ve been studying English long time so I totally understand your feeling that sometimes it’s embarrassing to speak with native speakers. But you encouraged me in this video, thanks 🥰🥰
So Amazing!!!! You used to be more shy about speaking Japanese and now you've gotten really fluent speaking in longer phrases, so proud!!!!!
I'm very inspired by you. Your progress is awesome!
Ahhh congrats on starting the journey!! We're all so proud!!
I've recently gotten back to reviewing my Japanese again, and your video made my day! It's nice to hear you speaking Japanese, even when you're still learning.
Much love.
This makes me so happy that you are progressing so well and that you really enjoy it. Two thumbs up. 👍 👍!
うまかった! I loved it. N2 is a good goalpost, makes things more bearable than striving for complete fluency as soon as possible.
Amazing to see how good your Japanese got so quickly. I think it's encouraging for me as I plan to move to Japan this year to take Japanese courses at a language school in July.
WOW!! Your Japanese is really good!!
