  • In the second part of our two-part interview with Lamb of God's Randy Blythe, he elaborates on expressing pain through his lyrics how it's helped him as much as it has helped Lamb of God fans. Randy also elaborates on how listening aggressive music that spoke about real things by bands like Sex Pistols, Black Flag, and Bad Brains made him feel less alone in the world.

As someone who, at a meet and greet in August, personally told Randy that his book helped me, and then a week later coincidentally got myself a tattoo that says 'This too shall pass', this was cool to watch. He was talking about people like me. I'm just glad I watched this. Thanks for doing this stuff Randy.

Whenever Randy does some promos, Q&A's or this kind of things with TheYouRock, they have to give him double screen time. The dude is so descriptive that he uses 120 words to tell a story of 50! And if you let him think and choose words between the sentences, book him right away for at least a double time! Whatever the occasion is, or format of the show, with Randy Blythe you should expect at least 'part 1 & 2' deal!

Even when Randy is talking in his normal speaking voice I can still hear that 'growling monster'within...what a confession here though. With all his been through, he was still brave enough to not have killed himself.

he is a shining example of the depth and emotion that metal truely has over most genres. Yes he went through alot, but this video shoes the difference between a true artist who struggled and the pop and rap genre who struggle and fail pail in comparison to metal artists like this. Metal is a genre like no other. Randy you are an inspiration!

This maybe was the best video I saw, because I'm depressive, and a younger metalhead, just 18 years old, It's good to see one of my Idols talking about this, It means a lot for me actually, and I thank so much for that, I'm doing treatment for depression, I'm getting along with It, and things like this video also helps me a lot, I'm really glad for it, I'll love metal forever, and I hope that every single person with the same problem can get passion for life again, thank you Randy, for this video, for your music, and for you. We all here rock.

The empty beer bottle metaphor hits home for me.. Im still constantly in a depressive self-loathing state. All i do is drink and drug to take the pain away for the time being. I have recently reached out and am currently seeking help for my depression and addiction issues and it was the greatest and probably the hardest thing I have ever done I realized I needed help, I seen the problem, and addressed it. I have started to educate myself more on depression and addiction and I know sooner or later I will be better. Theres always hope when you feel completely hopeless you just have to seek it.

Randy and his family lived right beside the Jr High I went to and I was friends with his brother in early high school. Randy was the typical older brother threatening to beat is lil bros ass if he went in his room. Seeing him 25 years later still rockin is too cool.
