I've watched lob city highlights for years and seen that dunk a hundred times but never saw that man run away like that lmaoooo thanks for pointing it out
4:00 Aesthetically, this has to be the most graceful dunk of all time. No floundering at all. Not on the jump or the way down. Took a bad pass and drained it so perfectly, the ball hit the ground before Vince did. He didn't go over anyone but we all know Vince could go over anyone in the NBA, we don't need to see that. I think it's the best alley oop of all time, one of the best dunks of all time.
there’s some article where they interviewed a lot of players about his career, and the reason VC doesn’t celebrate is because his teammates would purposefully throw him bad passes to see what he could do with them during practice but this one made it into a game. totally agreed though best oop of all time
It’s just me but i’ve always dubbed this dunk “The city of Angels” dunk because Vince turned into an Angel with wings in order to complete this play as gracefully as he did
The one with jr on the knicks doing the reverse is actually very underrated just for the pure fact that the pass was so low it didn’t seem to be meant for a alley and jr had to have such vertical and extension for that to be the play it was 🔥
The Carter vs Clippers oop still gives me goosebumps. The pass distance, the insane one handed catch(the slow motion clip showing just how perfectly he gets it), the height, the majestic pose, the absolute POWER. That ball flew to the top of the arena after being slammed through the hoop.
That Carter alley oop with the Raptors (4:13) is so beautiful. It might not have been the best dunk but he looks majestic floating in the air like it is no effort.
He earned the fuck out of that championship and that play was legendary. You don't have to like the bucks to appreciate his story, he got it out the mud his whole career and that play was the icing on the cake, and the staredown he was out for blood
Deandre Jordan’s Alley Oop Poster on Brandon Knight has forever been Immortalized 🤣. . One of the best if not the best Alley Oop Posters in NBA History
the Gerald Green windmill is better to me. He's half a foot shorter and got a foot higher, he could've kissed the rim. Yes, it was nasty of DeAndre, but Brandon Knight is a foot shorter and 100 lbs lighter. The Tom Chambers dunk over Mark Jackson 25 years earlier is just as crazy.
The Lebron and Giannis' two jumps over people are to be the expected answer. But that Green alley oop above the rim springboarded dunk has always been the best thing as a lob since I saw it on video.
The commentators are the best part about these highlights to me! Some of these reactions are legendary! I love the reaction to the Giannis dunk at 6:42 - Gus Johnson goes nuts and the other commentator simply says "oo!"
In the literal sense lol That's what he did in my favourite GP-Kemp lob ever, the one vs Golden State in the 1992 Playoffs. And he also exactly slid over because of the defender's push under him.
There's a lot of great alley-oops here but I'm not sure I'll ever see a more beautiful dunk than the windmill by Green at 6:15. That thing is a piece of art.
Brandon Knight was always at the unfortunate end of some notable highlights in NBA history... This one, the Kyrie crossover at the rookie-sophomore game, and the missed lay-up game-winner when he's with the Bucks lmao
Man it’s crazy how these players can understand the exact moment to jump and catch the ball especially with one hand the momentum they have in these games are phenomenal
The VC one about halfway through has long been my fav alley oop and I'm not entirely sure why. Something about the leg kick and rotation of his torso is just artistic af
We all knew how this video was gonna end. Although I will say the dunk by Lebron on Jason Terry is one of the most savage things to have ever happened to a player in the sports history.

You can show me all the JR Smith highlights in the world but I’ll always only see him as the dude who forgot the score in the finals with 2 seconds left in the 4th quarter
3:15 goddamn I forgot Sean Kemp played for the Magic. He was so out of shape it blew people’s minds, you can see he had no joy in the game by then. His ascent and prime tho were insane, think Garnet mixed with Giannis and throw in some Ja hype every time he elevated. He was a beast and I miss those Sonics.

For if these same plays happened in a dunk contest, we all would be less than thrilled for some of these are basic alley-oops. Some in here could be good dunks in a contest, but the momentum gained from these plays in a real game make any dunk contest pale in comparison.
Jason Richardson's dunks seems so effortless. I read back then he used to do 1000 jump rope reps a day. I tried that when I was younger and my jump did improve by a lot, I even surprised myself how high I can jump
After all these years, that Gerald green above the rim full extension aleey oops windmill still gets me
Can't get enough of it I swear
Bro, was literally looking at the top of the rim.
Best in game ally pwriod
Man I remember watching the game as a teenager and was in shock as how to tf someone could even jump that high
I love seeing the other players react to it lol, they be trying to hold back
