My try at TabLeft Workshop's Hammer Holder design. Its a great design. Free Plans available. Here is the link to his video of his design. • BUILD: Hammer Rack
Thank you for doing the hard graft working the design out from his video, I've watched tab lefts video at least 4 times trying to work out the exact distances etc for the spring setup. Your video answered my questions. I will now make one finally. Cheers
Obrigado pela excelente forma que fez o video, mesmo sem entender inglês, consegui fazer, o que não aconteceu em outros videos. O suporte ficou ótimo, muito funcional e prático.
Thank very much for the trouble taken in making the plans. Months ago I tried to build one but guessing all the dimensions watching the video @ Tableft Workshop. It did not work very well. Now I´ll be able to build one that works. Regards from Panama
Is that a friction saw till you have above your a/c? Also how is the Vega fence holding up? I am trying to decide between the vega on sale right now for $280 or the Biesemeyer on sale for $350.. The vega looks like a very easy install.
Yes that is a friction type till. The one over the A/C is for rulers and putty knives I have another one I use just for saws I simply love them. The Vega fence is great it's as accurate as the day I installed it. It's an easy install I have a video showing just how easy it is. Thanks for the questions and for watching.
Thanks for sharing. Looks very impressive. Can you tell me the pros and cons of this system over the Fastcap foam for organising tools and why, in the end, you chose your hammer rack over the competition, please?
Jeff Harmed well pros it's made from scrap wood, fast tool access and very secure. I haven't found any cons. I don't have any of the foam so I can't really comment on it. I chose this rack because I really like the design and I enjoyed making it. Thanks for the question and for watching.
Do you really need the springs? Seems that the action of putting the hammer in and out would swivel the right angle piece absent the spring. I’m not dissing your project, I’m just wondering. Thanks.
The springs help with opening the angle piece completely and holding it in place. But you can build your without the springs and see how well it works and let me know.
Thank you for the feedback I will try and do better in the future. I have free plans for the hammer rack that show all the details just email me and I'll send them to you.
Well explained and clearly demonstrated. Many thanks.
Building one at this moment. Now, another for my dead blow hammers. Thank you.
They work great. Thank you for watching

Thank you, enjoy building your holder.
Great idea and practical too
Great concept & can be used for other tools like chisels & screwdrivers with a few modifications.
+ralphd thanks for watching and the comments.
Hi
Great video
One question. How thick is the plywood?
Thanks
3/4” thick plywood
How did you cut the base board slots out? Just curious. I used a 1/4" router bit.
I used my table saw.
@@thomrider Thank you Sir.
