The Sims Grandpa video is hands down one of the best ones. When everyone started running inside the house while it was burning was the funniest shit when I was younger.
I truly feel like "the anti-streamer" is am accurate term for Jerma. Like there is something about him and people like the vinesauce crew that don't feel fake in comparison to a lot of other people on the platform. Even though they can be very dumb at certain games, I think they are actually far more intelligent and resound people than most others who do the same thing. There is no paywall or constant asking for money. They always interact with people in their own community best they can and just wanna make people laugh or have fun. I feel like a lot of people would be irritated by it but for me personally, I feel like the more out of touch Jerma is... the better, funnier and more relatable he actually is. It's a breath of fresh air because he's not doing the same thing as everyone else and due to growing up in a different generation to most people on the platform, has far more interesting tastes in things and knowledge of things that are different to just... video games and memes. Something about the streams and videos he makes, feels far more wide reaching and entertaining. I will see all these other people and get tired and fed up with them but whenever it's Jerma or Vinesauce, I feel like I'm always coming back to them because something about it all feels far more humble, honest, relatable and funny.
Honesty is a conscious decision, and so is shill - everyone makes that choice. I think you've got good instincts, and as someone that I think might be a bit older than you who's been online since 1.0, I'd recommend you keep cultivating this observation and maybe ask yourself if the broader culture is something that bothers you or makes you uncomfortable in any way when you think about it more deeply. One of the weirdest and hardest parts of growing up for me personally has been realizing that "most" people are capable of justifying various levels of manipulation and deception in order to reach their goals. A lot of charming, creative, likable people whose work I've enjoyed aren't actually "good people" when you really think about what kind of impact they have on their audience, especially when you remember a good 50% of any online audience are probably actual children. Things like merch drops and donation reads and such start harmless but morph and grow if the person involved can't morally check themselves as they get bigger. If you choose to really live honestly, it means distancing yourself socially in some ways and closing a lot of doors to "climbing the ladder", and you have to be careful not to let others take advantage of you, but it also brings happiness and confidence in your day-to-day life because you can stand by all your choices and you're true to who you are. It's worth thinking about.
