These are great at tax time. Also great for any "mom and pop shop". Computers and hand-held calculators have their place. But sometimes you really need one of these. You can "renew" the ribbon by putting small drops of 3 in one oil or similar product all along the length of the ribbon. No need to buy a new ribbon.
Hey! This a great video! I recently bought a Cannon for 5 dollars at a swat meet close to me. I can’t believe you got it for 2.99 (I believe that’s what you said) Anyways, I am glad I saw your video. Question; what kind of print paper do you use? And ink?
really need to know how to change the ink rolls. got some new ones but can't figure out how to change it. all online manuals are unavailable. not that I can find anyway. little help!!
Hey, sorry I'm just getting back to you now! If you're looking at the printing mechanism from a birds' eye view, the red and blue/black colored drums on the left and right sides of the paper, respectively, are the ink rolls. You can grab each one of those and just pull upward--that's how you get em out! Then you can snap new ones on there by pushing them down so that the little holes on the new ribbons go into the little "posts" in the calculator. Hope this helps!
Sorry I'm just getting back to you now! On the Canon, you're gonna want to make sure you have your calculator set to 2 decimal places (so the rounding doesn't go to whole numbers every time). Then choose your tax rate, plugging in like this: if your tax rate is 6%, hit the number 6 (NOT 0.06 as in decimal form!), then hit the "rate set" button, then the "tax+ button." You're all set! Then, whatever your subtotal is for which you need to determine the tax...add up the subtotal, then hit the "tax+" button, and it'll give you your total! Hope this helps!

F is for floting point. Basicly in laymans terms it allows the calculator to move the decimal place around based on the output.
How do I subtract with the Texas calculator? There are 2 - on machine +/- and a plain - neither subtract.
