Absolutely not that thing is junk. Got the bed and pto issue fixed now it’s the truck! Just got it back after a year and it had another issue with the fuel system again today. New ford f600 is in. Better warranty I’m spending a bunch on the upfitter and I’ll transfer the dump body down the road.
@@precisionfilms3777 definitely has the 6.6 has a fuel issue that mine just had. I have a 6.7 also only has needed one injector so far and I got it back in 2 days
issue I see no Chevrolet dealers service medium duty trucks within a hour from me most Chevrolet dealers are not authorized to provide service for medium duty 4500 and up
Yeah if you scroll down my videos I figured it out I went to a clutch pump. Cost like 4 grand to add a nice hydraulic reservoir and convert to the clutch pump. Then my high pressure fuel pump went and its been at chevy for a year next month. Its almost done but ridiculous. I ordered a ford F600

Dealer told me the interior was a 2019 HD. Thats a left over 2020 truck. So i got covers and weather tech floor mats for a 19 3500. I had to trim a inch on the floor mats over the hump and it fit perfectly. Seat covers were fine.
2022 I haven’t takin delivery on it they but as I’m watching other videos I see the ones with chrome mirrors are the ones that have the screen and my mirrors are black I’m actually really bummed about it lol
I bought the same exact set up as yours and I just like the bigger screen and it’s nice for back up camera like you said guys don’t take care of anything so I figured I’ll drive it around
Truck guy Joe on youtube did a video on some MD's and was asked that question why one one truck he showed it had an under hood pto and I think it was that reason of moving while dumping and found the old way was better than what they came up with at gm

I feel your pain...this is why we use a clutch pump off the motor, instead of the PTO off the Allison when we build our 4500-6500 dumps. I sell Silverado medium duty out of Erie, PA. I'm sorry they didn't disclose that to you upfront. They should have.

Yes You made a mistake ! Not the local dealer , Or the dealer you bought it from ! If I was going to do a cash out lay like that I would check , & research everything on the purchase rather than what the price is on the item that would be last ! I just hope they can reprogram it for you ? I believe it has to be ordered from the factory that way , & it is a optional not standard ! On the model truck you bought .
Its been a while PTO is gone and 12k later I have a new engine clutch pump/ new reservoir mounted on the side and a new lift hoist. Now its been waiting at the dealer for 12 weeks for a part after high pressure oil pump blew. 👍🏻

Is that pump under warranty? & that's not good having all that down time more money lost I personally don't like anything new on the newer diesels trucks , & tractors ! The regens def , & so on . The only new equipment I have bought is a 2018 M-F 1526 4x4 compact with a fel on it that I bought brand new , & it's a 25 HP diesel that doesn't have any of the emissions requirements or needs a regen or def because it's rated under 25 HP , I also have a 1959 M-F 50 4 cylinder gasoline , & a 1999 C3500 dually with a 350 gasoline engine with only 52,000 miles on it , & a Heil dump bed 2 to 3 yard , & is plow equipped . I bought all this equipment to start a part time business when I retired after driving company trucks for 44 years straight trucks , Tractor trailer box trailers , & reefers , When I saw the operating cost , & insurance I changed my mind but I still have the equipment , But only use it on my property so it doesn't get used much but it still gets used , But I don't regret buying any of it , & I also have a trailer everything was paid for when I bought it , & it has turned out that it has saved me money having it rather than paying someone else .I hope your fortunes take a turn for the better in the new year ! & your business turns very profitable .

If I were to do full time then yes I could make money doing it ? But like I said I would only want to do it part time , & there is the cost of permits , licencing fees , & I live in Northern Va. & there is allot competition , I use to do our private road maintain it grade it , snow removal , & there are 7 other houses on are road , & some so called neighbors never even paid for the work I would do , Or couldn't even say thank you ! & moved without ever paying me , & I got tired of going around asking people to pay me even though there were a few who would always pay me on time , & try & tip me extra ! But I would only charge them what they owed because that was only fair for the ones who never paid ! So I guess it's mostly I don't want to have to deal with people anymore . The only other thing I might ad is I was planing to do as a business was deliver gravel , soil , mulch , & grade gravel driveways , & private roads as well as snow removal local only ( residential ) But I'm happily retired now & enjoying the short side of life now , & doing things at my own pace ! But keeping busy nothing beats seat time on the tractors or being behind the wheel of my dump truck , Other than going camping with the wife , & pooch .

So they sent a tech to the house to program it to mobile mode and achieved that and works how they have it setup but it is not how it should be for standard pto usage. You have to be moving to engage the pto in mobile or park with the e brake on to engage stationary. Such a pain i guess the way around it is the cheaper electric pump system. We just put the bed up turn off the pto and pull the gate. I wish it worked how they should would be a great truck other than that
From what I read, you need to run the pto pump off of the engine, not the transmission, if you want the truck to travel while dumping material. See this video which says the same ruclips.net/video/RtYNn1X5wdM/видео.html
Just purchased one myself 2020 5500 4 door 4 wheel drive I made sure to get the electric hoist dump, it is a really nice ride but am going thru simular situations I purchased my truck in north Dakota and live in Florida so yea not so convenient for warranty work or dealing with issues, anyway good luck bro
Chevy pickups are ok but Chevy doesn’t make a good larger truck ford makes a lot better larger truck like the one you’ve got especially when you get up to a tandem ford will take a lot more abuse and last a lot longer and higher resale value
Is there another local dealer you could take the truck to? I bought a brand new chevy 4500 back in 2005, and kept it until 2 years ago. It was a great truck. I looked at the new ones when I sold that one, but couldn't believe the prices lol I also didn't like that they changed the gvwr. To get the weight rating of an older 4500, I would have to buy a new 5500- not sure why they did that....
Hopefully this is helpful and sorry you had the trouble. Also, some of the upfitters don't know that the PTO has to be programmed for a different idle RPM, most people just go off of the Ford specs but that will not work. 1. PTO driving operating conditions a. The PTO operates in gear, but not Drive - - only L1,L2,L3 As such, there are speed limits to the vehicle b. 0-5mph no PTO, (because torque converter isn’t locked-up) c. 5-58mph PTO available at speed depending on L1,L2,L3 position* d. Reverse - No PTO e. Neutral - No PTO
* if brake pedal is engaged in motion, PTO will disengage.

Which Carhartt covers did u use, they don’t have them specific for the truck. What model fit your seats?

We are phasing out our F650s. The 2015s are tired and since they no longer offer the cummins and allison, we're not buying anymore from Ford.

The pto and transmission need engineered different but its a good truck over all. Thank you
What was the mistake
The pto is not user friendly in my line of work. Found a good fix though wish i would have known before I purchased. The option was an hr from home

Hope you get this worked out! Out of curiosity, why would this have a 23,500# GVWR and not a 26,000 like a class 6 is allowed?
Im not sure why it isn’t rated for 26 but still hauls the same amount
I’m guessing because it has hydraulic brakes and doesn’t have an option for air brakes.
There are 31,000 GVWR trucks with juice brakes…
@@rustrtal I’ve seen a f750 with a 33k gvw with juice brakes. But would you want to drive that? I wouldn’t.
GVWR is based on axle ratings so for example a 21,000 drive and 12,000 pound steer makes GVWR of 33,000 pounds.

Yeah I would of bought another 650 if they made them in four wheel drive. That was the big selling point for me

Yes I can bump up rpm with cruise control and i can engage in L1 once moving. thank you for the info. engine pump pto soon
