GET BROME squirrels Proof feeders , is really Pricy, BUT is solid built & is metal & u hang it & forget about Squirrels and U don't need to go throw all these shyts eighter
I had the same thing happen. Little peckerheads!! Driving me crazy also eating my Zinnea seedlings, Sunflowers and the bird seeds! Greedy little buggers!
lolol I love this! FINALLY, after 60 some odd years, we finally found an actual, productive use for the slinky. lolol Oh how I did love slinkys when I was a kid
Squirrels ALWAYS ways overcome the slinky. Most will treat it the same way as youth running up a downward escalator - they run up faster than the downward travel.
I did this and since I have I have had no birds at my feeder. Do you think it’s scaring the birds away? Would there be a way to not attach the slinky at the base more so just on straight pole?
Yes if you put a short pole that goes half way up then attach the slinky to it ill have to do a video soon so keep a eye out and thanks for letting me know
This was helpful bc it showed me how to attach the slinky at the top. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
I have tried this. The squirrels used it as a convenient ladder.
Try shorting up your slinky maybe that will help
Same here but as OP wrote I shortened it so it won’t hit ground when squirrel hops on it and it then worked.
