I've always wanted to imagine the thirteen seasons of Red vs. Blue exist within the Halo universe. Spartan Ops' cameos of the Sim Troopers, Vic, and Agent Georgia makes me so happy. In some silly version of the Halo canon, they ARE canon, and aboard the Infinity.
Season 13 actually debunked the theory that RVB was canon. It doesn't make sense for the Covenant's weapons to look exactly like what the weapons of another a more ancient civilization.
My theory is that the RvB verse is an alternate Halo Universe where the Flood never got involved, and the covenant was ran by the Sangheli instead of the prophets.

The Grifball stuff is almost spot on... Though the name "Halo Rugby" was never a thing that was mentioned. Due to the old skit the video mentions where Sarge says "it's the greatest game since Grifball" Bernie was always working on a Grifball game and the advent of Forge finally allowed him to make something that would live up to the name. I and several other people close to the makers of RvB (I've been friends with Nico of the band Trocadero who made much of the memorable music for RvB) spent hours in Halo 3 custom games helping Bernie polish the rules and weapon choices (the game came very close to being Shotgun/Sword instead of the now classic Hammer/Sword). I helped redesign the first arena (and the second, and third). And eventually became the first commissioner of the Rooster Teeth American Grifball League of America.
It's a shame that they've changed the mechanics of the Gravity Hammer. I'm not sure if they can make a Grifball mode in Infinite unless they give the Hammers special physics just for that gamemode. Was always one of my favorite modes. I was also a few days too late to get an actual plush Grifball when I finally had money to buy one. One of my only regrets regarding merch.
I noticed the "lightish red" AI colour in infinite immediately and was glad to see the classic references are still around. Then i thought about just how bad the series got and that was a bummer lmao
There is actually Red vs Blue references in Halo 5. A lot of the HCS weapon skins have little references. Such as “next best thing to getting a pony” on the blue weapon skins. And “Let's all take dying as an open action item.” as the description on the red weapons.

Spartan Ops would’ve been a lot more iconic if Fireteam Crimson was the Reds and blues. Never even new about the Halo 4 RvB dialogue, so this was a fun surprise that makes Spartan ops more funny, even if Palmer isn’t written to actually respond to their antics.

Its not. Those are there as easter eggs, nothing more. RvB MAY be canon as a show in the actual Halo universe (same as how Grifball is apparently a sport people at, say, CAMS play)...but its not even remotely connected to the universe itself.

In infinite in forge “Blood gulch” there are multiple little action figures around the map that imitate the first couple of seasons, donut, grif and simmons are on top of redbase, sarge and lopez are behind redbase in an exploded warthog. tucker and church are on the ledge, caboose is in the bottom of blue base and doc and andy are in the cave :)

There's also an achievement in the Master Chief Collection where you have to drive a tank as the Arbiter. When you unlock it, it's called "Six Pedals, Four Directions."
Obviously a reference to Caboose's "why are there six pedals if there are only four directions?"

In infinite in forge “Blood gulch” there are multiple little action figures around the map that imitate the first couple of seasons, donut, grif and simmons are on top of redbase, sarge and lopez are behind redbase in an exploded warthog. tucker and church are on the ledge, caboose is in the bottom of blue base and doc and andy are in the cave :)
