Good singer.And above all I praise her also for singing arias not only by Rossini but also by my beloved Donizetti.
Just today I was listening my dear Lucia performed by Renata Scotto.This year will be the first anniversary of her death.Small great woman.

I know this as the aria of the Contessa di Folleville from Il viaggio a Reims; I am not as familiar with Ory. Miss Oropesa is fully in command of her powers here, and is totally inside the Rossinian idiom. As usual, she is a delight to hear. Thank you, Manoli!
P.S. I do miss the extensions to the line that Rossini removed in redoing this number for Ory. Lella Cuberli does a decent rendition on Abbado's 1984 recording of Viaggio.
