    In this card magic tutorial I will be teaching a card trick that I’ve done for almost 12 years. I call it Twisting the Asher. It’s a card trick that I’ve used for a long time and now I’m giving it to you for all your support. I woke up this morning and had hit 5k subscribers and I can’t thank all of you enough. So please use this routine. Practice practice practice. If you want a tutorial on the Elmsley or Ghost count then just click the link below to Chris Ramsays channel where I taught this move. This trick is not the easiest but it is a good one when done properly. Enjoy

    Wow! That is amazing! I use the pinkie move to turnover a card in the middle of the deck and you are using it to NOT turn the card over. I love it! I am going to give this routine a try. I love routines that take some skill to do. I think every magician should be able to do something like this that a layperson cannot duplicate. This is like listening to a singer who can hit notes that regular people can't.

    So, I had to RE-learn the Elmsley JUST to do this effect right. I learned to Elmsley count from the other hand which makes it hard here because after every count I had to switch hands, which is a waste of a move and pointless, but now I think I've got it!! Thanks X for this!

    Finally figured out how to fix the bottom card flip sound. For any one interested:
    1. You are int he position where you are displaying the newly flipped over card and in the other hand you have the bottom card bent down. 6:58
    You also tilt you entire hand a little downwards so that the 2 top card are facing down and aren't perpendicular to the ground any more.
    2. Not you are bringing the newly flipped card over to the rest of the pack and momentarily you grab all the card with your left hand while your right now tries to grab the middle 2 cards. 7:12
    Here now you make the middle 2 cards perpendicular to the ground while keeping the bent cards as it is.
    3. Now when you try to complete the flip, you have more room to clear the card and you don't make the sound anymore.
    I think this is what Xavior is already doing in the video nevertheless it isn't explicitly called out.

    Very nice. I've always love a couple of phases of the Asher twist but never loved the idea of repeating it so many times. as the routine calls for. This is brilliant. You could also finish up a standard twisting the aces with the final phase of Asher twist. Good explanation but the clear card made it more confusing than need be.

    • @camillechretien492
      @camillechretien492 3 года назад

      @@gerardofratini181 So, I kinda found the solution I think. You know how to get a break below the bottom card of the deck by doing a buckle ? I kinda use the same move to get the last card separated from the others to help grab it with my pinky during this routine, that helps a lot. No need to actually buckle the last card, just a bit is enough.

    A very nice trick, and a good way to train the Elmsley count, I trained this for a few weeks now, and I'm confident enough to show it to people.
    But, I noticed that a few of the people I showed this to didn't understand what was going on (or what was meant to happen).
    For me this trick could even be completely silent, since it's simple and visual. But even saying "I'm going to have these cards turn face down", I would have this reaction ( '-' ) at the end, like they didn't even notice the fact that the cards had turned lol.
    This happened to me with two different people (but not with all the people I showed it to), what am I doing wrong?

    • @AerB111
      @AerB111 7 лет назад

      I honestly don't see your point.
      Aside the fact that in the first 4 minutes (I'm not going to watch 14 minutes of tutorial again) you don't say anything that sounds like what you just said.
      You present it as "your version of twisting the aces, a trick that's originally from Dai Vernon".
      Any trick can be deconstructed into the moves it's made of.
      I could say "this is my version of the ambitious card, but it's just a series of double lifts and color changes". It will still be an ambitious card routine.
      But even if you stated "this is not a trick, I just put together a few moves, so don't perform it as a trick"...I still don't see your point.
      You're basically saying that I shouldn't perform it as a trick, so what's the meaning of this tutorial? I shouldn't be performing this at all?
      Saying "that's what you're doing wrong" is not helping me with my question..
      Or maybe I was just wrong in your eyes saying this is a "trick" instead of "routine" or whatever other name you want to call this?
      I honestly don't understand.
