Back when I was a kid during the 80’s, there was a DJ at a radio station that played music that were not mainstream. How lucky I was. No 1 in Denmark, Norway, top 10’in UK and the rest of Europe. Unfortunately, it was overlooked in USA. But this is one of my favorite from A-ha.

Without no doubt I can say I have grown up in the wrong generation. The music found in the 80’s, just like a-ha’s is something out of this world. I am so jealous for everyone that grew up with this amazing music. I just watched them live yesterday, and although Morten wasn’t at his prime (singing wise) they were super good to watch. He had recently been sick from covid which made it so he had trouble with his singing.

This song reminds me my high school years. Listened it over and over. Band created its unique style. Definitely group of talented and charismatic musicians which put its mark on new romantic rock music.
I've known them from the beginning. On tv in the 80s I saw the craziness that surrounded them. Beleaguered hotel floors and such. I've always admired Morten, loving his voice and singing. Hunting High And Low being my favourite song. I've loved the East of the Sun, West of the Moon album since I bought it in 1990/91. Somehow they have always been part of my 'background noise', although I mainly knew the well-known songs, what was played on the radio. And what I stumbled upon here every now and then. Then I saw part of the Unplugged concerts nine months ago and got hooked. I started a journey of discovery that probably hasn't ended yet. I own a lot more of their songs now including the MTV Unplugged, Analogue and Foot of the Mountain albums. I admire them for who they are now so much more, knowing more about their background. It's like I've always respected them, but now have finally discovered their true brilliance. They've certainly stood the test of time for me.

This song reminds me my high school years. Listened it over and over. Band created its unique style. Definitely group of talented and charismatic musicians which put its mark on new romantic rock music.

I always loved this song, A-HA made some really brilliant music.
I've known them from the beginning. On tv in the 80s I saw the craziness that surrounded them. Beleaguered hotel floors and such. I've always admired Morten, loving his voice and singing. Hunting High And Low being my favourite song. I've loved the East of the Sun, West of the Moon album since I bought it in 1990/91. Somehow they have always been part of my 'background noise', although I mainly knew the well-known songs, what was played on the radio. And what I stumbled upon here every now and then. Then I saw part of the Unplugged concerts nine months ago and got hooked. I started a journey of discovery that probably hasn't ended yet. I own a lot more of their songs now including the MTV Unplugged, Analogue and Foot of the Mountain albums. I admire them for who they are now so much more, knowing more about their background. It's like I've always respected them, but now have finally discovered their true brilliance. They've certainly stood the test of time for me.
I agree with you on several aspects of your story".Was only 8-9 in 85,I did enjoy their music but my father was only a few yrs older than Morten so never considered him(Nor any of the other guys) to be some sort of sex idols or so.Just happened to like their music.Also grew up in eight different cities in North West Europe, one of them being Oslo, Norw.Magne and Paul actually practiced in my grans'basement for a couple of months(She rented this clubhouse for teens,later became the owner)Never took any further notice of any of this until I was given their first album by a brit in Hamburg when going to Italy back in Easter 2001.I was 24 and already a mother of one.Just happened to redescover A-ha for the third time or so during lockdown earlier this yr..I see lots of females commenting on Mortens good looks.Well,as far as I'm concerned he's been with a woman for several yrs now and the other guys are settled somehow as well.I'm just glad to have noticed them all,how different they all seem to be,Mortens increadable voice/falsetto,the way he sort of talks whilst thinking,his childlike curiousity (A person who'd be ok to be stuck in a lift with-as long as you know the help button isn't out of order;)Mags seems like a decent artist,fun & I like his energy on stage, seems like a nice bloke,very talented indeed.And cute"Paul,the introvert,a musical genius who also wrote most of their songs back in the 80's.🎤👨🏻🎤👖🧦👟🎸🙆🏼♂️🎹👨🏼🦱🌺🦋🦎🖌️🎾🤛🏼
