During the biggest hype around them - and it was huge - these guys proved that you don't need to be assholes to be pop stars. No scandals, no trashed hotel rooms, no arrogant behaviour. Just amazing music. So glad they proved the test of time.

My eldest sister was in love with Paul (she has always had weird tastes!) so my middle sister and I felt justified in lusting after Morten and ‘Mags’. We had a huge post-modern poster of them in our room. Morten is still bloody hot!

Since the first time I heard it in the 80s, this is the melody that has been the most influencing and favorite since I was only 14 years old at the time, bravo A-HA is still at the top of my top five bands.
There has never been a singer with voice control like Morton. He is probably the only western singer who could master the 7 Eastern Raags, when it was asked of sub continental legends in the 80s who could voice the Raags from the west they would instantly name Morton.
I played this album on cassette to death back in 1986...(went through 4 of them!) Now have the album in CD format with this track on repeat in my SUV. Drove my kids crazy with continuous repeats and now driving my grandkids batshit insane and into A-ha, musical hell! Lmao
I think Morten’s vocals here are his best! Husky and bad a..e. One of my favourite songs ever. I remember it clearly from when it was released in 1986. ❤❤❤
This is my favorite song off the album. I hadn't heard it in YEARS, like at least 30 years, but when it popped up on tv today I still knew all the words!
One of my favourite songs from aha!!! Listening to this song again just sends me back to the 1980s! I miss Aha and my youth! How time flies by soooo quickly and mercilessly. Thank you for such wonderful memories and having been such a powerful influence on my music taste ❤❤❤ Am an ardent fan from Singapore in Southeast Asia.
I was 13 when this song was released and its only now I appreciate how fantastic this song really is. Maybe not as well known as some of their other hits, but it's the best.. Had it on repeat for a week.. I'm 47 now.

Without no doubt I can say I have grown up in the wrong generation. The music found in the 80’s, just like a-ha’s is something out of this world. I am so jealous for everyone that grew up with this amazing music. I just watched them live yesterday, and although Morten wasn’t at his prime (singing wise) they were super good to watch. He had recently been sick from covid which made it so he had trouble with his singing.

I've known them from the beginning. On tv in the 80s I saw the craziness that surrounded them. Beleaguered hotel floors and such. I've always admired Morten, loving his voice and singing. Hunting High And Low being my favourite song. I've loved the East of the Sun, West of the Moon album since I bought it in 1990/91. Somehow they have always been part of my 'background noise', although I mainly knew the well-known songs, what was played on the radio. And what I stumbled upon here every now and then. Then I saw part of the Unplugged concerts nine months ago and got hooked. I started a journey of discovery that probably hasn't ended yet. I own a lot more of their songs now including the MTV Unplugged, Analogue and Foot of the Mountain albums. I admire them for who they are now so much more, knowing more about their background. It's like I've always respected them, but now have finally discovered their true brilliance. They've certainly stood the test of time for me.
I agree with you on several aspects of your story".Was only 8-9 in 85,I did enjoy their music but my father was only a few yrs older than Morten so never considered him(Nor any of the other guys) to be some sort of sex idols or so.Just happened to like their music. Also grew up in eight different cities in North West Europe, one of them being Oslo, Norw.Magne and Paul actually practiced in my grans'basement for a couple of months(She rented this clubhouse for teens, later became the owner)Never took any further notice of any of this until I was given their first album by a brit in Hamburg when going to Italy back in Easter 2001.I was 24 and already a mother of one.Just happened to redescover A-ha for the third time or so during lockdown earlier this yr..I see lots of females commenting on Mortens good looks.Well,as far as I'm concerned he's been with a woman for several yrs now and the other guys are settled somehow as well.I'm just glad to have noticed them all,how different they all seem to be,Mortens increadable voice/falsetto,the way he sort of talks whilst thinking, his childlike curiousity (A person who'd be ok to be stuck in a lift with-as long as you know the help button isn't out of order;)Mags seems like a decent artist, fun & I like his energy on stage, seems like a nice bloke, very talented indeed. And cute"Paul, the introvert,a musical genius who also wrote most of their songs back in the 80's.🎤👨🏻🎤👖🧦👟🎸🙆🏼♂️🎹👨🏼🦱🌺🦋🦎🖌️🎾🤛🏼

Totally an underrated album here in the States. I was 12 when, "Hunting High and Low," came out. First concert I ever went to was a-ha..in I think 1986...August here in Seattle. Bourgeois Tagg was the opening act. I will love a-ha FOREVER!
Oh the memories!! 1986. Stereo turned up loud as I speed down the highway with my girlfriend (now wife) in the passenger seat. We're headbanging and totally losing our shit as we sing at the top of our voices! Good days. :)

Para quem viveu essa época, foram tempos de boas músicas, tempos que ficaram eternizados na memória de quem viveu esses doces momentos!❤
La mejor musica sin duda es esta , viva por siempre A-ha , los esperamos en Lima , gracias Morten.
The best song about this song it's the harmony in the chorus.❤️❤️❤️

I am not a A-ah fan, but this song is amazing!
Totally an underrated album here in the States. I was 12 when, "Hunting High and Low," came out. First concert I ever went to was a-ha..in I think 1986...August here in Seattle. Bourgeois Tagg was the opening act. I will love a-ha FOREVER!
And this song went to the top 10 in the UK 😋😋😋
Oh the memories!! 1986. Stereo turned up loud as I speed down the highway with my girlfriend (now wife) in the passenger seat. We're headbanging and totally losing our shit as we sing at the top of our voices!
Good days. :)
Brent verdade!!! 16 anos e a vida. Nós tínhamos em nossas mãos. Felicidade sobrava. Tempo bom . ..
DEMAIS. i´ve been losing you. a minha favorita. estes caras marcaram, e fizerao. Hístória mundialmente. E sem contar a simplicidade destes caras com os FÃS. Estes Noruegueses, são Sensacionais demais.
Toujours magnifique cette chanson
