Hi Wayne as always easy to follow. Its great Hatchet have recommended you to follow for the build. I followed you with the Bismarck and the spitfire now this 👍 I'm subscribed so have to wait for this part. But it's a good tease to what's coming 😂 keep up the good work buddy.
Hi Wayne, I'm still waiting for my 1st issue....but have saved you previous 2 tutorials for reference when I start my build I do a lot of plastic model kits...I prefer the 1/48 scale But I have tried and I recommend a glue that is more easy and not at all messy ...you control the amount of glue to the area you want it to go ..and you can drop a spot of glue right where you want it by gently squeezing the sides off the tube..the longer you squeeze....the bigger the "teardrop" of glue..for about 1mm. Upwards It's called LOCTITE SUPERGLUE CREATIVE...AND IT DRYS CLEAR keep up the good work Wayne 👍....GERRY H I
That massive base is part of the bomb bay. The Lancasters wings, tail fins, tail plane and engines were later used on the Lancastrian civil transport airliner.
Well done Wayne.... Had an email off hachette directing me to Ur channel for tips and information on this build........ But they too late I'm already a subscriber 👍👍.... I am still awaiting my first two issues... Have been InTouch and they are saying they have a backlog and having trouble with stock... Keep up the good work as always
I've used Micro Krystal Klear to hold the canopy of 1/4 scale RC aerobatic airplanes in place. It takes a bit to dry but once dry the holding power is strong. For me, the only thing that has caused a canopy to come loose is an impact with something sturdy.. like the ground..
@@WorldofWayneUK Yup, that is pretty much exactly how it has happened to me. The main difference being that I was holding the control transmitter and thinking "Ooops!" or "Oh $h!t !"
Done the first 2 that turret offt fiddly or what lol do you hav a link of the screwdriver you use as the one you get is ok but not great cheers love the vids
Hi Wayne How did you manage to get the glass to fit without the frame breaking ? I fitted the glass and then set it down only to hear a crack and the frame has split on the windscreen at the front ?
@@WorldofWayneUK yea, mines is in the spare room, and it’s warm. I’ve noticed on the facebook build Lancaster site there’s quite a few having identical issues in exactly the same spot. I know it’s a stretch but I wonder if the ones bought in newsagents different. It appears all those that bought it weeks ago and put up you tube videos don’t have an issue. But others who subscribed and only got issue 3 last week are reporting it breaks in same spot
They are straight until outboard of the inner engines then there is the 7 degrees of dihedral. Scale plans are available if you Google them. I’m wondering if the test model was a bit rushed for the photo and video shoot.
Nigells Modelling Bench has started this kit and posts suggest it is missing. If so then it's a train wreck. He has already ready to give up on it after pack 1.@@andrewcutts3197
IMHO Hachette have missed two opportunities. Last year was the 80th anniversary of the Dams Raid and they should have capitalised on that. Secondly the kit is a BIII /Special/, a modified Lancaster /only/ made for the Dams raid, and they should make more use of that. It's not IMHO enough to just say at the bottom that it's a Dambuster bomber. IIRC they all had two radio sets. A normal set used to communicate to base, and a second set normally used by fighter pilots, for aircraft to talk to each other, which bomber crews didn't usually have to.
Cool I have been watching that build since the beginning. As I said in a previous comment I am in the middle of that build and your videos have been a huge help especially with some of the wiring. Though I think I need to check the circuit board. I think I have a couple of wires in the wrong ports. But that should be an easy fix if I do.
I’ve got first few stages and was about to do my subscription, the. Noticed it’s £10.99 a week your signing up for. I can’t afford that right now. Me sad.
Wayne, you are a very well known influencer. (HINT). I'm crying over here in the States since Hachette hasn't seen fit to offer this subscription. I have found a source on eBay, but the postage/shipping could eat me alive.

Thanks for the link to Hachette Wayne. I should receive my first pack this week. Then I can follow along with you.
I'm really enjoying this build. The Lancaster is such an iconic airplane. Great work, Wayne.
This is a good build and I like the way the glass is held in without having to use glue
Hi Wayne, Top tip smear some Fairy Liquid on the inside of the canopy frame, the clear part then goes in nice then just run it under the tap.👍
Love this build. Planes are so cool

I just gently went around the outside. My workshop was quite hot asbI had the heating on so that may have helped

Hi Wayne is there any where you can order some of the stages pre-made. I after making a mess of my front gun turned?

Hoping Hachette have learnt from the Spitfire debacle!
So is it true the wings have no dihedral? If so that's unforgiveable.
I have no idea. I'm sure the finished model will be different but I have a plan if they aren't to correct it.

If the model in the TV ad is anything to go by, it looks bloody awful

Great tutorial Wayne. Do you not have the next issues with you? 👍
Nope. Gotta wait now
Hi world of wayne good work on the landcaster bomber good video I am having problem fitting gunsight to turret side section what can I do
Is it not reaching or is the lug seemingly too big?

Ooooh very naughty! They spelt Lancaster wrongly on their leaflet! Hachette Marketing, go to the corner and have a strong talk to yourselves!
