How to create a mirror bar chart in Excel

  • Mirror charts are used to compare 2 sets of data side by side. These mirror charts are also called Bi Directional chart and The advantage of a mirror chart is that it illustrates two data sets side by side and therefore makes it easy to make comparisons and spot any differences between them.
    This is a comparative chart and can visually compare data easily and the mirror chart in excel can be created very easily by using the Stacked Bar Chart.

    Can you do this with percentages?

      Yes, do the steps exactly the same as in the video, but choose the percentage category, then type inside the format code this:
      "#,##0%;[Black]#,##0%"
      (without the quotation mark)
