Knowing at the highest level of grappling that 97% of athletes are not clean and still choosing not to do it speaks volumes about your beliefs, abilities and confidence.
Exactly, and they're smashing it, it tells new competitors they don't need to take them to succeed. That said not many will have had the constant training partner of a twin their whole life. That's one of their biggest advantages I think

I’m against PEDs too. But its not cheating in grappling.
It's admirable that he and his brother don't appear to be users in a sport where so many blatantly do, but let's not pretend like this is a risky "stance" to take publicly. Worth noting that his coach is a literal walking billboard for steroid use.

However, considering their outward stance on steroid use in the sport, I wonder how they reconcile claiming Galvao's status as one of the best to ever do it with their position on PED use and GOAT status. When you realize that him talking down on steroids is equivalent to him throwing shade to most of the guys at atos lmao. Not saying hes wrong just interesting to point out.
If you really think about it, EVERY gym and training center in the world has athletes using PED’s. He’s not attacking anyone in particular and he’s not hating on anyone, he’s just being honest.

Does Kade know that basically he his bad mouthing 100% of his training partners at ATOS that are juiced to the geels. His professor Andre Galvao. All his former professors ( mendes bros) basically most of the JJ champions that he has trained all his life, close friends to him, and most of his professors. He talks about Roger, Marcelo and Buchecha being GOATS. THEY WERE ALL JUICED UP. Everybody at high level JJ is. Its part of the sport.
Love it but let's not forget he trains under head growth expert Andre Galvao and one of the few people dumb enough to get caught by an IBJJF doping test in Kaynan.
It's crazy to actually pop in grappling but it does happen occasionally. Some guys either don't know how or just can't cycle off properly.

I’d rather be the clean grappler who taps a sauced up grappler than be the juicing grappler who gets tapped by a clean grappler.

To be fair Gordon competes at a way less competitive weight class. You could argue that lighter devisions are more difficult as there's far more competitors and everything happens faster. I'm no expert so I can't judge who's got the better skills but it's a fact that Gordon doesn't have as tough opposition at his weight class

I always love how everybody is so happy when they’re 20 and young then after they turn 21 they find out how fast you get old…. It’s funny to laugh at old people when you’re young but we were laughing right back at you just knowing the amount of anxiety you’re about to go through! ENJOY!
