@@shainn2237 if the top player knows the move u can smash and almost von flue with the shoulder and its locking u on bottom which makes escaping hard if the choke fails
Just learned about the buggy choke today from JRE PODCAST. Went to find videos. Found this gem. And literally smiled when i watched him hit that. Not even the opponent could help but smile
I hit it 2 out of like 15 maybe 20 tries and when i failed I was fucked and worse position. Obviously I’m not that good at it so I only use it now as a Hail Mary I don’t really feel pressure on my knee but I was told it’s really risky for the knee
Usually it wouldn’t be, it’s only wildly different when someone sits right down. I personally think that is an extremely wimpy style, but that may just be me
Rickson pulled guard Royce too Roger gracie also marcelo Garcia pulled guard, Gordon pulled guard, there's nothing new about pulling guard, I don't know when that started pissing people off.
@@johnnycaralta But most competitions give penalties depending on how you pull guard. But if the person doesn't like watching guard games, it would be better to watch a sport that doesn't have guard or jiu-jitsu involved.
Great match this is a better kind of jiu-jitsu for spectators guys that actually engage. One thing for the casual they cant understand how someone lays on their back with their legs over their head and say its fighting. In a real fight it would be a death sentence. Must find a way to penalize inverting if you want to go mainstream with grappling. Still cant even get the jiujitsu community to buy these events let alone regular people.
I'll stick with MMA, until people stop jumping to their butt at the start of a match and then try to run out of bounds for half the match. Inverted guard looks pretty silly too.
Grappling is meant for lengthy skinny guys who can't wrestle, and are too scared to do MMA/kick-boxing. Pulling guard and being unmanly has been the modus operandi since day 1. Just look at Helio Gracie's stature and his grappling matches.
How does this sport not make people angry? Some guy is putting balls and ahole in your face while simultaneously trying to hurt you. That’s grounds for head stomping.
He just participated in evolving the fight game . See it's simple those who choose to spar heavy for stand up fighting won't learn they use intimidation or unhinged strength its not correct techniques in total . This is boxing without the internal damage . I'm at a new level of the way . I see further even engage the enemy with talk . I move to move you even if we have not touched . I'm a gogoplata guy myself its not easy to start it from a distance lol . There's a joke inside for you .
You don't like it because you don't know what you're looking at to appreciate it. And that's understandable because you don't like it so why learn. Still, there's a fascinating amount of nuance and strategy that you're missing out on. Each to their own I guess.
Funny how these supposedly "top guys" don't understand the basic mechanics of Triangles. In this case how to counter that Body Triangle. Not only his defense was so wrong, but he's actually helping the attacker a bit by exerting unnecessary energy (hence increased oxygen in-take).
Franson's guard retention skills are incredible.
I've never seen that choke before. I catch myself in that bottom positions many times. Glad to see a move I can pull off!
The ability to get caught in bottom side control does not automatically confer on you the ability to pull off the buggy choke like Kade Ruotolo.
Just try it, will work when you do it often enough
@@samphillips7194 why is it bad?

I've gotten this choke 1 time in rolling after like 10 or 20 tries lol my friend got so pissed
Buggy choke happened in ufc last night. Though it didn't work it made this choke much more prominent now!
Sean woodsen Luis sonada
Might have came up short, but homies guard was great.
Yes I had never heard of it before. Joe Rogan was the 1st commentator to identify it and said you only see it in high level jujitsu.
This choke is new to me. Just learned it a few months ago. I do like it though. Looks useful from the bottom position of the opponent has side mount

Incredible
I watch this to fall asleep. Always works like a charm. Goodnight to you all.
Literally what I'm doing lol
I watch car reviews or podcasts on 1 volume
thx
that was sick!!!
👍 awesome 👍 saw that being tried 1-2 weeks ago, and Rogan called it, but I'd never heard of it.

10th planet black belt Jeremiah Vance was the first I seen catch some one it but he called it the venus fly trap.
Why did they delete it the first time lol
Btw first 💅🏻

how is this at 165
? What do you think they weigh?
Tbh they look small. I compete at 169 in grappling events and feel like these guys would be small in any bracket I've ever been in
@@shepsean1 if i had to guess id say 145
When did stepping on someone’s ankle become a thing? Seen both Ruotolo brothers do this in their matches now.
since they started doing it lol
it's a dynamic pin
When was that not a thing? Seems like a basic concept.

These butt sits should be penalized. Should have to force the position or be forced to defend it.
Why?
Why not?
That guard pull was embarrassing.

You cant slam in most competitions, only some if u do auto DQ
Dont wanna hear that this works better than boxing. If somebody lay down or sit in a street fight they fsce will get kicked.
Clearly they're not talking about butt scooting, you're not sposed to take it that literally

Grappling will never go mainstream. I'm not sure the jiu jitsu continuity would want it to either.
There's already an option for that. It's called MMA.

this wouldn’t work in UFC right can you use elbows in that position
Good thing this is not MMA.
It technically still could. The free arm lacks torque to hit a proper elbow
The most one sided commentary Iv ever heard
Not gonna lie...
I thought his rash guard said AIDS for like the first half of the match. Weird name for a club or a sponsor.
Gonna have to call Poe's law here. Can't tell if you're joking or...
