    I've never seen that choke before. I catch myself in that bottom positions many times. Glad to see a move I can pull off!

      The ability to get caught in bottom side control does not automatically confer on you the ability to pull off the buggy choke like Kade Ruotolo.

      @@shainn2237 if the top player knows the move u can smash and almost von flue with the shoulder and its locking u on bottom which makes escaping hard if the choke fails

    Yes I had never heard of it before. Joe Rogan was the 1st commentator to identify it and said you only see it in high level jujitsu.

    This choke is new to me. Just learned it a few months ago. I do like it though. Looks useful from the bottom position of the opponent has side mount

    I hit it 2 out of like 15 maybe 20 tries and when i failed I was fucked and worse position. Obviously I’m not that good at it so I only use it now as a Hail Mary I don’t really feel pressure on my knee but I was told it’s really risky for the knee

      @@johnnycaralta But most competitions give penalties depending on how you pull guard. But if the person doesn't like watching guard games, it would be better to watch a sport that doesn't have guard or jiu-jitsu involved.

    Great match this is a better kind of jiu-jitsu for spectators guys that actually engage. One thing for the casual they cant understand how someone lays on their back with their legs over their head and say its fighting. In a real fight it would be a death sentence. Must find a way to penalize inverting if you want to go mainstream with grappling. Still cant even get the jiujitsu community to buy these events let alone regular people.

      I'll stick with MMA, until people stop jumping to their butt at the start of a match and then try to run out of bounds for half the match. Inverted guard looks pretty silly too.

      Grappling is meant for lengthy skinny guys who can't wrestle, and are too scared to do MMA/kick-boxing. Pulling guard and being unmanly has been the modus operandi since day 1. Just look at Helio Gracie's stature and his grappling matches.

    He just participated in evolving the fight game . See it's simple those who choose to spar heavy for stand up fighting won't learn they use intimidation or unhinged strength its not correct techniques in total . This is boxing without the internal damage . I'm at a new level of the way . I see further even engage the enemy with talk . I move to move you even if we have not touched . I'm a gogoplata guy myself its not easy to start it from a distance lol . There's a joke inside for you .

    Funny how these supposedly "top guys" don't understand the basic mechanics of Triangles. In this case how to counter that Body Triangle.
    Not only his defense was so wrong, but he's actually helping the attacker a bit by exerting unnecessary energy (hence increased oxygen in-take).
